I don't think of their voices when reading the lines in manga (or fan-comic). But one thing I will agree with you about official- both fan-manga and parody series aren't official. But there's difference between these two. Salagir's fan-manga doesn't overshadow the original manga by Toriyama. It will never happen even if it became hugely popular. TFS, on other hand, could potentially prevent the popularity in the dub itself. It does make me sad that some of them actually prefer TFS cast over the official one, even if they've made a huge leap in handling the voice work. It's why I have a strong feeling against TFS.
rereboy wrote:Ever heard of the right to parody and fair use? Jeez... They are not doing anything illegal.
You sure you wanna go that route? The "fair use" is a very vague term. Not even TFS is safe from this.
It's too late for the dub's reputation at this point. TFS at least salvages some of it.

...You just had to, didn't you Gonstead.

With all this focus on the ancillary characters (considering where this is heading, I mean), I actually forgot this is supposed to be the universe where Freeza won until I double checked.

Well...that was a short fight. Sucks to be Dodoria regardless of the universe it seems.

Well, Dodoria shat his pants when he realized that Vegeta was 24.000 (and was killed in one blast by him). Nail is more than 40.000.

Damn Nail, that was brutal. You couldn't have executed him with a nice clean blast, like Vegeta? You just had to physically stick your hand through his chest?

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I guess in retrospect, it could be worse. At least he didn't get the General Blue treatment.

Wait...so those three or four Namekians that show up when we're first introduced to Freeza, Dodoria, and Zarbon (right before Gohan and Kuririn save Dende) weren't Warrior type? I could have sworn they were noted as being stronger than average at least...though I guess that alone doesn't have to signify their type.

The nameless Namek wasn't warrior type and he was pretty strong.

True, I dunno why I didn't think of that too.

As for the new page, whoa - the art style is definitely a little jarring when it comes to 'pretty' faces apparently, cuz that Bulma and Zarbon both took me by surprise for a second.

I really like Bulma face here, kinda remind me of Bulma from Scarz DC Universe, Bulma must be talking about Appule, Freeza and Zarbon, and she knows it all, because...
