I hope Hironobu Kageyama makes a return.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Namco Bandai has shared a new image and looks graphically nice:

I'm guessing these will all be there, dunno about some actual animated cutscene (not counting the opening).

It would be nice if Namco Bandai bundled one of the Dragon Ball specials like... the 2008 OVA (Goku and Friends Return) like they've done before (2011-2012).
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

I think it will do alright. I think it might do well enough to give us a sequel in 2016.

rb and rb2 are just one year from one another, so Boz 2 or zenkai porting should come in 2015, i guess

It took two years for them to make BOZ. I guess Namco Bandai will start doing DBZ games once every two years now which I think they should have done after 2008 or 2009.

Because it’s a new game. RB2 is not a new game compared to RB1, it’s an improvement on various aspects but still (a) RB1 improvement.

What about Vegetto and Bardock DLC for Japan?

Found some interesting stuff! http://youtu.be/0KAZk79V3Oo

Credit goes to IKevinX. Proves that most of the characters on the game play differently.

I don't understand how normal Bardock is more powerful than SSJ Bardock.

Regardless of this chaospunishment's reputation, you're all devolving to power level comparisons lol. This says nothing about their kit. Krillin is ultimately useless without his heal and unblockable super. Take into consideration that their stats aren't reflective of their moves. I'm anticipating that every character will fill some role somewhere (hopefully). This is all conjecture at this point, but given my lengthy experience with the demo, people like Krillin are unexpectedly useful because of their kit, not their card amounts.

These numbers also don't take into consideration items, or the two final card slots, which seem to be varying abilities such as Guldo or Chaotzu's cards draining Energy from connecting melee/ki blast hits. With only four characters that play totally different (from the Saiyan saga no less), I can only hope that as their techniques spread the characters will become even more varied. Hell, how do we know Guldo won't be broken with his time-stopping ability? Or Buu turning people into candy? It doesn't matter how strong they are if you use their kit correctly.

Question: Are ssj Bardock and ssj Vegetto that you get by pre-ordering this game at GameStop/Best Buy just means of immediate unlocking? As in, you can still get them both eventually by playing through the game? Or is this a case where you'll have to pay extra to get the full roster? If so, I will be quite disappointed, and praying they don't make make a habit of that. Something like Sage Costume Goku I don't mind, but having the actual characters from the story missing makes it feel like I'm buying an incomplete game (especially if it's any of that BS where they're on the disc, but you have to pay just to unlock them  ). Speaking of the Sage Goku bonus, do you get that from both places? I fully paid for the game a couple months ago at GameStop, so I guess I'll be getting codes for ssj Bardock and Sage Goku?

There's really no clarification yet. If I had to assume, you'd get immediate access to SSJ Bardock / Super Vegetto (depending on who you're getting) right from the start, immediately selectable in whatever mode you can select them.

As for the Naruto costume, that's something that comes with the game itself. It should be a code inside the game box. It will come with the first-pressing of the game regardless of who you purchase it from, even if it's not Best Buy or GameStop.

As far as the Sage Mode Goku is conserned, I can say you get both him and Bardock when you pre-order at Gamestop and I'm assuming you'd get both Vegetto and Goku at Best Buy too. Like VegettoEX said, it will probably be a download code that comes with early releases of the game.

As for Vegetto and Bardock, I'm assuming Namco-Bandai will do what they did with Soul Calibur IV. If you don't remember, the PS3 version got Darth Vader and the 360 got Yoda. After a few months or something the opposite character was available for purchase for both systems. The scary thing was that it was a $5 purchase. I imagine with this being a Dragonball game, the price(if it's not free) will be significantly cheaper.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Yeah -- given Namco-Bandai's past outings, it's safe to assume that both characters are on the disc, and you get a code to unlock one of them. Recently they've been doing free DLC with their Gundam titles in Japan, so I believe that we'll see both characters available in that form a few months out from release. Or as SparkyPantsMcGee mentioned, they might be paid, but I don't foresee it past $2.99. Probably going to be $1.99 if I had to bet on it. I wouldn't sweat worrying about exclusive DLC. It's a stupid gimmick, but you'll get your characters one way or the other.

I'm curious, has it been confirmed that they'll be providing DLC characters in the future? I remember hearing this floating around but couldn't pin it down to a direct source.

Not sure if this has been talked about yet, but Famitsu gave the game a 32/40.

Let it be known that they had previously given Ultimate Tenkaichi a 31/40.
