And now we wait and confirm that the Kikuchi score is still present in the Japanese version. I almost don't even want Zenkai Battle Royale, if they're gonna replace it as always.
Super Saiyan Prime wrote:The game really can't be this small, right? So much for the Japanese audio getting axed due to Vita size constraints ...
I don't plan on getting the game through digital download (so, anyone that has, feel free to correct me if needed) but I would assume that, like other online-focused games, it's just the "initial data" from which you'd then download the rest of the game data, how many GBs that may be. As far as the PS3, at least, since I don't have any experience with Vita stuff.
japanese ost is indeed in the japanese version of battle of z, 100% confirmed, there are videos on youtube already

^ Can you provide an exact link to show it does feature Kikuchi's score in it?
Sadly once again the only rewarding part of a DBZ game is its music.

FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Those Kikuchi tracks are probably recycled from
Ultimate Blast too as it was Takaki's (UB) & Kishi's (RB1) music but it's still great overall that they're getting a better soundtrack package than in the western.
Still, the new tracks composed for Battle of Z are pretty damn awesome and easily the highlight of the game.

God the music in this game is so low, you just don't hear it in the battles.
Kinda regret not having pre-ordering it, now i'll have to miss out on Super Vegetto. Hopoing that atleast they become proper DLC later on.
Also, if there's one thing this game has over the Spike games, it's the melee animations, they just look so awesome.

I wonder why sound effects are so loud in this game. You can't even hear music during fights without turning down the sound effects volume.

I noticed that too, it seems to be the case for the menu sound effects too.

Your friendly reminder that, just because they aren't planning on it RIGHT NOW (or just don't want to reveal it yet), does not mean that they won't.

See above. Also, that refers to the North American branch with no word on the European branch.

The problem is the sound effects being annoyingly loud. First thing you need to do is set them waaaay low. No idea why that should even be necessary.

From a certain website these are the sizes for the 360 and PS3 versions:
360 - 7.30 GB
PS3 - 2.13 GB
Looks like the PS3 version has been compressed even though it uses a Blu-ray Disc capable of archiving up to 50GB whereas Xbox 360 is a DVD9.
While this is odd it might explain why the graphics are so poorly looking and the game's primarily focused on multiplayer than offline.

Wait really? Are you sure? I've had the game 2 days but I haven't opened the game yet because I might resell it.
EDIT
I got impatient and opened it...there ain't no code for Vegetto or Bardock.

Does anyone know how to unlock mission 50 (Hirudegarn)? It's literally the only one apart from mission 60 (which forces you to fight the entire roster) I haven't done.

Wow, you're right. Some of those are really good. I particularly like tracks #30 and #35. Thanks for that!

I think it's exclusive to GAME. I got it from them and they emailed me the codes for both characters.

Yeap, same as Solidus. GAME emailed me the unlock codes for Vegetto and Bardock the same day my game shipped. The code for Sage Goku was inside the box.

Hmm. I feel like the English releases of Battle of Z would have been the perfect opportunity to use the English version of Flow's CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA in the opening animation. Shame they didn't take the chance.

These reviews are more or less accurate in my opinion. However, they seem to stress how the game doesn't follow the story faithfully... and I BET MONEY if the developers tried to recreate an accurate story mode the review would have something like "...replaying the same recycled story again..." For me the alternate story mode events is what attracts me to this game the most.
