I agree, even though their relationship wasn't always peaches and cream (Krillin started off as an asshole), they became the best of friends, and this is shown very well when Freeza kills Krillin and Goku goes
berserk.
I also love Gohan and Piccolo's relationship the best. I mean, they first met when Piccolo was literally the demon king, and it was so awesome to see Piccolo sacrifice himself to save Gohan from Nappa.
A second relationship I love is Future Trunks and Future Bulma, because I do find it to be very realistic. Future Bulma's doing the best she can to survive a terrible future and she's constantly worried sick about the safety of her son battling against those ruthless Androids.
Lastly, an underrated relationship I love is Chi-Chi and Goten. Don't get me wrong, I love Gohan and Chi-Ghi's relationship, but I felt that Chi-Chi's relationship with Goten was way better.
Goku and Gohan also have a great father-son bond in my opinon.

I think Chichi had a better relationship with Goten than Gohan. She was always strict with Gohan about his studying but later on changed after Goku's death during the Cell games. Goku and Gohan have a great bond, contrary to what people say about Goku as a father, same with Goten.

To bad Goku only think of Gohan as a comrade rather than a family member. From Toriyama himself. Though even though it's the author word. I disagree since Goku showed more care for Gohan during the Z series than any other character.

So did you think that her relationship with Gohan was bad =/?
Anyway, yes I do believe her relationship with Goten was way better, because it's kind of realistic, because of how some parents have to learn how to be good parents with the firstborn and become better with the second born. I kind of find it a bit unfair, but understandable.

I disagree too, because I loved how Gohan and Goku had a lot of father-son bonding in the Cell Saga.

I saw Goku and Gohan bonding as father and son, especially during the Cell saga.

I wouldn't say it was bad. The relationship between Chichi and Gohan wasn't there compared to Goten. I know parents who become better parents after their first child because they learn from their mistakes.

I liked the whole 'family' feeling of Dragon Ball with Bulma, Roshi, Launch, Krillin and Goku. When they were all together it was always fun. Sure Roshi was a perverted old fart towards Bulma and Launch, but he would have done anything to protect them in the end.
I wish Launch still lived at Kame House during DBZ
Tien and Chiaotzu had a very close relationship, they would have died for each other (Chiaotzu doing so to try and defeat Nappa). When Tien witnesses his sacrifice, you can just feel the anger and sadness TIen must have felt.
Goku and Krillin. When Krillin goes off to get Gokus power pole, and Goku has that weird feeling that something isn't right, it's probably one of the greatest scenes in DB history.

Mr. Satan/Mr. Buu is somewhat underrated.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Well, the relationship sort of just comes and goes.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I'm just about done with the concept of reboots and making shows that were products of their time and impactful "new and sexy" and in line with modern tastes and sensibilities. Let stuff stay in their era and give today's kids their own shit to watch.
I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about
your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

The fact that this relationship is underrated is kind of sad. I also had a fan theory of this, that maybe Gohan resented Goten a little because he pretty much had a normal life compared to his older brother.

I always loved their relationship, even as a kid. I'm not a fan of Mr. Satan, but that's one of his most redeeming qualities. There aren't even enough stories about them. One of my favorite scenes was when Mr. Satan wanted to pretend that he defeated Fat Buu, but he gave up on the charade because of guilt.
