Episode #0037! VegettoEX, Julian, Meri, and our new Filler Guide contributer Rachel discuss Atari's recent copyright protection on YouTube and the upcoming re-releases of the entire DBZ Hit Collection series. Going along with these CDs, we reminisce about the history of these CDs and our favorite image songs over the years. Referenced sites: Whee! Go ahead and grab it. Big thanks to godofchaos for hosting the monumental *thirty-seven* episodes, now.

Yeah, there were some audio issues. Whatevs. You've got amazing, bouncy, quirky, Japanese image songs to make up for it all :P. The Battle Stadium D.O.N. episode will hopefully happen this coming podcast episode; I just didn't have the free time to actually sit and play the game the last week, so it wouldn't make sense for me to try and talk about it. But I've been playing, now, and I've got things to say :D. But we'll save that for next week.

I don't suppose that the rereleases of the Hit Collections are on any online stores yet, are they?

Edit:
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-mb- ... 43-9v.html

That answers that.

And Ever Anime is a bootleg company? So my SF2 Artist Album isn't legit, now matter how much it looks so? GODDAMMIT! I've owned that for years and never knew...

Edit again! (cuz I don't want to double post):

Am I as bad as pre-teen girls if I flop down and read Spider-Man or X-Men?^^; Yes, I am guilty as charged. Then again, most Borders/Barnes & Noble I go to, the Manga are fairly out in the open, so it doesn't block up traffic.

I am more like Julian with my pet peeves. Or maybe it just pads my ego. One of the two.

I've been trying to avoid replying to the podcast thread unless I have more than "Good episode!" to say.
But this time, I just had to say that Meri's sudden angry outburst at the lazy manga readers in Borders/Barnes and Noble made me laugh hard enough to say-- Great episode!

There's the link to the page which has all of the DB/DBZ CDs for sale, including the upcoming Hit Collections.

And... I gotta say it.... GREAT EPISODE! Be proud that you've gone on MUCH longer than other podcasts I listen to.

Damn those little kids. They make reading domestic Yugioh that much more of a task for me (whenever I go to Borders that is...which is rare as it is.)

The episode was great. I wish I had more to say, but, uh...I don't.

Wow, too bad I just found out about these Podcasts since the first three can no longer be downloaded :( , I'd like to hear what you said about Sparking and the Djinn/Majin thing. Based off what I've heard so far it's pretty entertaining.

Ah...good podcast. Enjoyed it a lot. I was happily surprised that Mike's #1 song was mine too.

Wow, Simon's e-mail is enough to keep the podcast episode for me! Ugh, I absolutely hate just looking for manga at bookstores and I agree that the damn 6 year olds making bad pronounciations of stuff and just sitting corss legged in front of me just makes the situation worse :x.

Ususally, I just do a quick skim of the manga title I'm interested in, since I'm actually considerate of others who aren't considerate of me. Geez, I wouldn't mind if you guys actually recorded that whole "kicking kids around Barnes and Noble series."

The only JP CD is the 18 1/2 one, since as EX said on the Music guide, "Everyone and their mother has this one." I'm not really interested in the music, but I found it interesting that I was able to point out some music stuff you guys were talking about.

And welcome Rachel! I'll be looking forward to new filler guide info!

Hey, the ending theme's from GT!

Geez...

I was totally lost. I had no idea what music you were talking about. The only one I knew was Space People DBZ (I heard it on Veshira's music video).

Oh yes, and about this new Rachael person... Does she deliberately speak with a cute voice when talking on the podcast? :? And where'd she go for half the episode? Man, she's filled with mystery. Anyway, I hope the filler updates are good. OR ELSE!

"Or you're so obsessive that you just check God of Chaos' server"

Sigh... I think Julian just burned me.

Anyway, great podcast. I like how is degrades into plans to videotape 'beating children'. Classy.

And I've said it once, and I'll say it again: we demand more Japanese lessons from Julian! More I say!

And I hope someone makes a music video for Muten Rôshi no Oshie and calls it "poopypoopy37.mp3". :)

Am I the only one that has never encountered this problem? I mean, both times there was actually someone else in the manga section of my local Chapters before me, they left pretty much as soon as I got there. And there weren't any others that came later either.

I dunno. Maybe it's just different here in the states?

Then again, since it's still summer, I always seem to go to the bookstores when "the crowd" isn't in front of the bookshelves. But when I happen to come at exactly the wrong time and want to get a manga off the shelf, I just kinda reach for where the title usually is, and the kid who's in the way just sorta moves their head. I know it's sota strange, but until I hve the guts to pick up the kid and drop 'em off on the nearest chair, this is the next best thing .

Great podcast as usual guys. I love most of the songs you guys sampled. *Owns Never Ending Story* :D

But GOD YES. I can't stand those people that sit on the floor in the middle of the aisle at bookstores, espcially in the manga section. It doesn't help that a particular series is located at the bottom of the shelf in front of said person. Is it that hard to go over to the tables or at least stand so people can get around? :?

I gotta be honest.......I have been listening since Ep.1 first released but I gotta say, this was the first episode that I found boring. No offense guys, sorry.

The one thing that I do have to comment about is the people reading in the aisle.....this doesn't happen often to me, but I have seen it happen at times in my Local Barnes & Noble.....it pisses me right the frick off, they truley have no clue what they are doing there & I agree with Julian, I just wanna correct what the hell they're saying.

I believe the "Hikari no" song that Meri was thinking of that appeared in the Never Ending Story set was actually "Hikari no Tabi." :P "Hikari no Will Power" wasn't put in until Complete Song Collection - Volume 4: Eien no Yakusoku.

Great podcast, though. :x

I think I'll pick up a CD or two from Play-Asia when I get the chance. For $15.50 each, I can't go wrong.

Groot Podcast, guys. Although, for the next episode could you take the bells off of your kitty's necks? :P

And, a question: what was that song playing at the end of the Podcast? I know it was "Hitori ja Nai", but it sounded slower, softer, more subdued, calmer... y'know what I mean? Have a good time at Otakon. Peace.

I enjoyed this episode, however I was one of the people who were almost completely lost, having never heard...any of these songs before. Remind me to pick some CDs up.

There is always a customer in the aisles at the nearest bookstores, and it always seems to be girls for some reason. Plus, the fact that this Borders is tiny and the aisle is only 2 1/2 feet wide doesn't help me when the girls are lined up in a group and ready to bite the head off of anybody who tries to interrupt them. Good thing I don't go that often.
