It was in the Buu arc. What I can only assume is a rich guy and his manservant went on a killing spree for the fun of it when the world was running scared of Buu. It's a haunting and heartbreaking moment. The part where the old man reaches out for his wife right before he dies was a nice touch.Wibbs wrote:When was that. Oh yeah, I remember that. That was pretty sad come to think of it.ABED wrote:It was in the Buu arc. Re: Most disturbing death
What seemed pretty disturbing to me at a younger age was seeing Trunk's flash (forward?) of when 17 and 18 had blasted through Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Yajirobe. This was cut from the toonami version, but when my fandom was first growing back in the early 2000's, I remember seeing these images from a website addressing all of the DBZ TV edits (most likely DBZ uncensored). I remember back then, even with poorer quality image rips via VHS fansubs, it was a slightly disturbing sight to see for a 12 year old version of myself.
Speaking of impalement, Super Buu's "human extinction attack" was also equally disturbing when I first watched it through FUNimation's uncut VHS way back then. Seeing the rest of Earth's population wiped out by a series of impaling blasts in close detail was probably one of the more dark elements of the Buu Arc.

I was more disturbed by Yamucha's hairstyle than his death.

Or was it just Chi Chi's hair on a Male's bodyKid Buu wrote:Were you disturbed when Gohan kept copying his various hairstyles?penguintruth wrote:I was more disturbed by Yamucha's hairstyle than his death.
Honestly Gohan's hair looks like Chi Chi's more than Yamcha. The hairstyle is Yamcha's I'll admit. But the HAIR itself is Chi Chi's.

Wow they could have chose better pictures because Gohan hairstyle looks very different from Yamcha's in those pictures. I knew the joke(I even said Gohan is Yamcha's baby once). What's funny is that if you look at EOZ Goten's hair. It's Yamcha hair mixed with Raditz.

It's strange how Gohan had both parents involved in (most of) his childhood yet takes more after his mother (he not only looks like her but acts like her) than Goku but Goten only had a mother yet takes more after his father.TheGmGoken wrote:Or was it just Chi Chi's hair on a Male's bodyKid Buu wrote:Were you disturbed when Gohan kept copying his various hairstyles?penguintruth wrote:I was more disturbed by Yamucha's hairstyle than his death.![]()

Re: Most disturbing death
I think the death that impressed me the most was when Frieza kills Vegeta. It was such a violent one sided fight, and seeing Vegeta pleading Goku to avenge him is heartbreaking.
On a funny note, when I watched DBZ as a kid, my mom never really understood anything about it, so she decided to sit down and watch an episode with me. It was the episode where Frieza kills Dende and my mom NEVER got over it. She even cried! "Oh, but why did that guy just kill the green kid? He was doing nothing wrong, he was defenseless, this is awful!!!" and I was like "yeah, that's because he's the bad guy". And now like 15 years later, when I watched Battle of Gods with my cousin in my house and my mom walked by, she looked at the TV and asked "Oh no, it's that horrible show where they killed the green kid!" Poor mom, she was truly traumatized by that death, and she never even watched any of the others!

Your mom is the first ever Dende fan? But cool seeing your mom taking the death seriously. Well..not cool...but you know what I mean right? Very unique.garnetjester wrote:Of course, I even showed her how he was alive and well in the party in the BoG movie, which made her happy haha

I think it's kind of adorable haha. My mom grew so fond of Dende in just one episode, and he's the only one she cares about! Very hardcore!

I know it's not really graphic or anything, but seeing Android 18 and her daughter Marron get turned into chocolate and eaten by Majin Buu gives me the creeps.

Well, both Gohan and Chi-Chi are scary when they get angry (SSJ2 Gohan anyone??) and they also have the same skin tone, when Goku's is more tan than Gohan's. Goten is more like Goku while Gohan is like Chi-Chi in my opinion.ABED wrote:I honestly don't see how he took more after his mother. It's strange how Gohan had both parents involved in (most of) his childhood yet takes more after his mother (he not only looks like her but acts like her) than Goku but Goten only had a mother yet takes more after his father.

It was filler, but, i remember Tambourine murders of 21th and 22th TB fighters to be quite brutal, the way we just see shadows, while he massacred Bacterian...

Chichi's not nerdy. Unlike Chichi, Gohan's anger isn't irrational, and I don't see how it's in any way psychotic.
