Training with ki energy
We know as humans that we have a limit to our strength due to the lack of ki but because saiyans have ki energy running through them at all times does that give them the power to never have limits? Can they keep building strength?

I don't think Saiyans are born with an innate mastership of Ki, but instead a natural aptitude to develop one.SaiyajinPrince wrote:We know as humans that we have a limit to our strength due to the lack of ki but because saiyans have ki energy running through them at all times does that give them the power to never have limits? And to answer your question, Birus and Whiis speculate at the end of Battle of Gods about if Goku and Vegeta could one day become as strong as them - which as incredibly powerful Gods, is quite a statement.

I don't think there is an established limit to ki's power. The moving plot requires stronger people and training is a way to accomplish that, though they always have to discover a new point to improve.

Just imagine if Gokuu and Vegeta reached that level of power, then turn SSJ or fuse. Then they would truly be the strongest anime characters.

doubt it Akira would find a way so it looks like they are only Planet lvlHaji wrote:Just imagine if Gokuu and Vegeta reached that level of power, then turn SSJ or fuse. Then they would truly be the strongest anime characters.

Although that was probably taking into account them both using the SSJG transformation.Blade wrote:I don't think Saiyans are born with an innate mastership of Ki, but instead a natural aptitude to develop one.SaiyajinPrince wrote:We know as humans that we have a limit to our strength due to the lack of ki but because saiyans have ki energy running through them at all times does that give them the power to never have limits? I figured they meant Gokuu AND Vegeta using SSJG. But just think if they did get that strong in base form. I don't think there would be anymore debates about Gokku vs whoever.

If you mean from series outside of DB, there is always going to be someone stronger. Especially ridiculously powerful characters with abilities that DBZ fighters simply have no way to counter.Haji wrote:I figured they meant Gokuu AND Vegeta using SSJG. Goku could try staying as SSJ3 for weeks straight like he did with SSJ1 in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber!!!
Or ask Dr. Briefs to upgrade the graviton chamber to go up to 100,000g...

I don't think it would be possible to maintain SSJ3 for so long, it takes a much higher toll on the body than other SSJ forms. Besides, if you count BoG he already has the power of SSJG so he doesn't need it.Eternal Super Saiyan wrote:Goku could try staying as SSJ3 for weeks straight like he did with SSJ1 in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber!!!

Re: Training with ki energy
Apparently, even the Saiyans have their limits, not just the Earthlings or the Namekians.
- An aged Kame-sennin couldn't keep up with Goku & co. after the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai.
- Chaozu couldn't keep up with the other Earthlings after Freeza arc.
- Tenshinhan & Yamcha couldn't keep up with Kuririn after he got his dormant power drawn out in Freeza arc (Tenshinhan never stopped training, unlike Kuririn, yet Kuririn was still on the top).
- Kuririn couldn't keep up with the base Saiyans after Freeza arc.
- Piccolo couldn't keep up with the Super Saiyans after they mastered the form.
- Goku & Vegeta had reached a point were they couldn't make significant jumps in power, unless they had discovered a new transformation, by the time of the Boo arc.
- Gohan had his dormant power drawn out far, far, faaa~aaar beyond its limits in Boo arc.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
