Aren't movies 1 and 2 actually the edited Toonami versions?

Are they? I've seen all three from Disc 9 and only the third film was edited while the rest stayed intact.

Kuririn and Gohan had those silly sound effects on Dead Zone which I wish would've been wiped out.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

As far as I know, I don't think there were edited versions of Movies 1 and 2. I could be wrong though.
It's not likely, but I wonder if there will ever be a release of the Canadian dub of Episodes 123-291 (as much as I like dubs in general, I refuse to use the old edited episode numbers).

I havent checked them but movie 1 and 2 have the rock the dragon opening and a different ending from the uncut ones.

Speaking of, didn't toonami show them uncut late at night? I remeber watching them and them having the cropped japanese ending for the credits like the DVD singles.

You mean 123-276. They were working with the censored version.

Yep the OP is Rock the Dragon.

On this video the Movie #3 starts after the RtD OP ends.

There were edited versions of movies 1 and 2, but they were just modified versions of the uncut versions made for Toonami.

Wait, so does that mean they actually used Kikuchi's music on Toonami? I thought the original Dragon Ball was the only one to have it there.
Also, dbboxkaifan, the episode numbers I meant were actually 108-276, which correspond to the REAL 123-291. The ones that used Mega Man music and stuff.

For the first two DBZ movies, yes, I believe that is correct.

Yeah, Movie 1 and 2 definitely had the Kikuchi score intact when they aired on Toonami. That was my first time realizing there was ever an English dub with the original music intact. Made me really happy when I saw them on TV for the first time.

Movie 1 and 2 had really great promos, too, voiced by Don LaFontaine, and Movie 2's even had a few seconds of the Japanese actors, too.
