Part of why people hate Faulconer Productions' soundtrack is due to how misused it was on FUNimation's Dragon Ball Z dub because had it been done properly it would've been a superb replacement.

Just listen to these tunes produced by Faulconer Productions:
Super Boo - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woHtuw_xtcc
Perfect Cell - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpkeAQG6kQw
Gohan SSJ2 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLqWgbAfNn8
Goku SSJ1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU5EMlT3Uzw
Goku SSJ3 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3s2Ksz7rpck

Little were the times that there were silent moments and not another BGM being cued for the current BGM that's going to end soon.

nice, got a strike for trying to help a kid. but i guess now i know that 99 percent of you probably never even seen the battle of gods, because the only way you can see it is through pirated illegal sites.

I'm still waiting for FUNimation to get their Battle of Gods BD/DVD release out and even though I see "Super Saiyan God Goku" I don't know much about it 'cause I haven't seen it.

I could have if I purchased the Hong Kong Blu-ray release which has English subtitles, and in Japan they've got their Normal BD/DVD and Limited Edition BD/DVD releases of Battle of Gods.

People on this forum buy merchandise, I as well as many others.

Not true. I know that I won't be the most helpful in acquiring this movie legally but there are DVD and BD versions that can be imported with English subtitles.

What we do in our time is our business. It's not appropriate for the forum to encourage and enable pirating, though.

Most of us probably have seen battle of gods, including me.

It's been released on Blu-Ray in Hong Kong with English subtitles.

Besides, just because people from here pirate doesn't mean it should be encouraged on the forum.

You can get legitimate overseas copies. I personally haven't (haven't seen the movie yet), but I know plenty of people here who have.

There are various copies on amazon.jp that are legitimate.

The fact that digital piracy topped by the anonymous internet means that everyone has done everything ever because there is no way to hold anyone accountable web-side does not stop people from having accountability in real life. I watch Battle of Gods, I'll buy Battle of Gods later when Toei inevitably makes it available in my (North American) region. Everyone's free to poke holes in that one, but I am not scaling the shipping import barrier for it. Not for a shoo-in like an actual new Dragon Ball Z release.

That clip of Super Saiyain Vegeta suggests a least one longer fight sequence. What's the extended runtime again?

Check each page in the Kanzenshuu Episode Guide. Each page details which chapters of the 1984 comic is adapted.

And you've demonstrated the futility of intellectual property.
Or way too many people these days rationalize theft.

Blaming it on piracy won't help out, like for example New Video Group released a shitty version of Saint Seiya for an absurd amount of money ($90) and then expect people/fans to buy it knowingly of its flaws.

In US there's been a ton of re-releases for Dragon Ball Z so customers have their options to choose from, some stay available forever (Orange Bricks) whereas others are for limited time (Dragon Box Z).

To be honest, US is one of the countries most lucky with series and films on BD/DVD because others just aren't that lucky and yet people take it for granted. For example, Portuguese fans never got the Dragon Ball Z series on DVD, only through TV broadcasts (SIC, SIC Gold, SIC Radical).

Anyhow, since Saint Seiya is coming out on Blu-ray I'm hoping in the near future Discotek/Viz/FUNimation licence it and give the fans a proper quality release (New Video Group's release is to be avoided!).

Blaming companies for putting out a crappy product for a large amount of money is blaming the victim. You don't have a right to watch the show. If you think the price is too high, go without. It's the entitlement mentality that's the problem. Your first paragraph is pure rationalization. I'd like to own a boat, but they are expensive, so I'll go without. If someone doesn't like the way DBZ was released, that doesn't justify theft.

Most people who watch Dragon Ball own it on DVD and/or Blu-ray so it's almost unnecessary to even bring up the piracy as it's a minor issue.

On video games people usually say "piracy is going to kill this console or that console" but just look at the Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 sales, or even DS. People just exaggerate.
