Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Actually, it didn't say why Bulma was mad at him in the manga, but Roshi implied it was over something petty.

Remember as well, Yamcha has his phobia of beautiful women.

OTA said the anime said it was money reasons. I know what the manga said...well didn't say.

Though according to the page on Toriyama's involvement, he supposedly wrote that scene where it said to be for money reasons. And in the manga, Roshi implies Bulma is mad at Yamcha over something very petty.

Sometimes you have to lose the zero and get with the horrible mass murdering sociopath.

Maybe the sexual chemistry was great.

About Bulma and Yamcha arguing, she says that all they do is argue when she thinks about Goku on Namek. I think the progression of Bulma and Vegeta's relationship makes sense, in the 3 year gap it was just a fling, it would be weird for them to be in love at that point already. Then in the 7 year gap they form a proper relationship and fall in love, makes sense as a whole to me. About Yamcha being a cheater, i think Toriyama thought it would be funny to have him of all people cheat.

Going of Toriyama's interview with Kobayashi, Trunks probably had the wrong information on Yamcha.

Now, I want to point out something very very important most people miss. The Bulma Post-Freeza is a totally different character than before.

Up until then, Bulma was always way too aware and afraid of danger. She does takes charge of situations when she needs to but tries her best to stay hell out of trouble (unless there's a handsome face involved). She accepts to go to Namek because she's technically the only one that can pilot the damn thing, but she's not exactly thrilled about it. She freaks out during all the Freezer Saga and fears she's going to get killed and then... she survives.

She survives the destruction of Namek and right after that, we SEE the change almost immediately. She stops fearing Vegeta, Freezer and most other threats. I survived a freaking planet being destroyed, THIS IS NOTHING.

When Freezer shows up Yamcha is too afraid of facing him (with reason), their personalities simply didn't match at all anymore... so I guess it was not surprising they didn't work out in the end.

On the other hand, I always thought Bulma would have made the first move towards Goku if Chi-Chi hadn't show up in the 23rd Tournament... not necessarily out of romance/love at first (he was not bad at all 8) ). Even Future Bulma does have Goku in such a high a pedestal that really made me wonder if she had other motives to hook up with Vegeta in the first place... at least on an subconscious level.

Puar and Oolong did complain to Goku Bulma has been treating Yamcha badly (in the anime, at least).

That is filler, but it's also during the the other of the two whole times in the series where we actually see Blooma mad at him. So, yeah, both of those examples are what I've already mentioned.
Hell, Yamcha didn't even wanna show his ass at the reunion because of her (the anime change it to financial reasons though).
Again, same example as before, although, incidentally, I never got the impression that he made the choice not to show up.

So, yes, as I've said, aside from those two instances, we never see them upset at each other. And it should be noted those two instances take place 11 years apart from one another! I think that's a record any other relationship would kill to have. And we still never actually SEE them fight.

I agree that Yamcha's character got screwed over for the sake of conveniently finding a mother for Trunks. What saddens me is how the fanbase (and even Toriyama himself, apparently) have convinced themselves that the character was always this way, despite not having any build up for it (like Gaffer Tape said).

It's especially baffling when you think that Bulma was the one swooning over General Blue and regretting not dating Goku during the Freeza arc. And yet Yamcha's the cheater?

I still think the whole thing was a misunderstanding. Bulma loses her temper too easily; she might have just convinced herself that Yamcha was unfaithful even if he really wasn't. Then she told Trunks, and that's the story Trunks told Goku. It's the only way the whole thing makes any sense.

I thought this was a given. I'm sure there was some kind of misunderstanding where it seemed like Yamcha was cheating and that was "the last straw" for Bulma. Again, there are other things like I mentioned above... their characters not being compatible anymore after the Freeza Saga and perhaps having a thing for Goku on a subconscious level.

Now, on the other hand, Bulma does not has to worry about Vegeta cheating at all. The mere idea is laughable. Most people in general give Vegeta a wide berth thanks to his *cheerful* personality and presence, even without him trying to murder them. I guess Bulma thought it was a plus.
