Dbz was popular long before Ocean got it. Many other countries had it as well.

'First 50 episdoes are the best' is a subjective statement. That isn't a fact.

Dragon Ball was already huge in Japan and that's the reason it made its way over to the US in the first place.

Well in my opinion little son gohan should have stayed little. Put some jelly(grape flavored) on my *opens lid* and *gets out knife to scoop some peanut butter* *squirts bottle of jelly make ppfft noise* little son gohan is happy ^_^.
Wish they included a little segement for little son gohan like this after the Garlic Jr. saga. Its a nice thing to put a smile on anyone's face with grape jelly. :3

DBGod wrote:@TheBalishChannel Don't worry you're not coming off negative in any way :D These are not Dans recordings nor have they ever been uploaded online in the past, ever. I don't own tapes, but the digital files of them only. I would gladly share some of this content, but I really do need to upgrade my internet before I can even consider uploading all of what I have. It would take me ages to upload it all.
Alright, good. By any chance, do you know whether or not if oXdanXo is still the owner of all of those tapes? I'd like to ask him if I'd be able to get a hold of them and digitize them to prevent any more natural aging and possible future damage. He doesn't seem very active on here though, as far as I'm aware...
About your digital copies, I'm very relieved to know that's the case. Seeing your episode #176 clip, then there's no need for me to worry about any quality loss. I hope this isn't asking for too much, but, would you be alright with adding me on Skype (or whatever messaging software you prefer) and encrypting your digital copies into a WinRAR folder, or even streaming them over a call while I record them via stereo mix? Sounds a little crazy, but I don't think I've ever come this close to owning the entire Westwood dub in pristine quality. I happen to prefer the Ocean Studios cast (there's a couple of miscasts here and there in the Westwood dub but overall it's still pretty good) and I'd love to own everything they've done for the series.

All 5 DB VizBigs
5 out of 9 DBZ VizBigs, still waiting for volumes 1,2,6, and 9 to get back in stock on Amazon.

As for the anime series, I don't own any DVDs or Blurays anymore, I recently gave them away cause I've learned after watching other anime like Deadman Wonderland and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood that when it comes to an anime adaptation that was based off a manga, it's most of the time, in lack of a better term, crap. The DB anime has too many problems to deal with so I gave it up.

Not to go off topic, but what are those three volumes lying on top there? They look to be Toriyama related somehow.

The first one is Akira Toriyama's Hetappi manga laboratory and then the 2 under it are vol 1 and 2 of Akira Toriyama's manga theatre. Got those at Book Off in Saitama for ¥100 each

Such envy. I'd love to be able to collect Toriyama's other works, but I have pretty much no luck getting next to any of them for cheap unless they are current releases at places like CD Japan. I doubt I'll ever manage to track down things without a proper release, like Awawa World and Mysterious Rain Jack, or Rocky, Tokimecha, Mahimahi, etc.

At least some of the stuff is easy to nab, like Slump, DB and Jaco. =P

Ditto on the jealousy (and thanks for the answer), really wish we'd get the rest of his works over here. I still need to get the rest of the DB manga, and Slump...and Cowa...and Sandland...but still! I need more! MOAR!

Looking at those photos of collections make me soo jealous, because I really am itching to collect all the Dragonball and Dragonball Z manga from my itunes. So far, I only have 5 mangas of the VIZ Dragonball Manga and 1 of the DragonBall Z manga., and when I get the money back into my account.

My brother bought all 9 Remastered Seasons on orange bricks. Then sold them a couple years ago... I told him not to and said I'd offer him money to buy those but he would have had to wait.

So I got most the episodes on old tapes now, which can be a pain. Brings back memories though!

Does anyone have an amazon link for the manga of Master Roshi Christmas book haha I like that a-lot.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

DB: Season Sets
Z: US Dragon Boxes, US Bardock and Trunks Singles, Season Sets 1 and 9
GT: Season Set 1
Kai: Parts 1-8 (DVD)
DB Movies: Single for Movie 1, Movie Box for the rest
Z Movies: First Strike Boxset for Movies 1-3, Singles for the rest

And I recently bought the US Shounen Jump issue with DB- in it.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I have the Battle of Gods Special Edition Blu-Ray with the JSAT Special, so that's two more things I own.

I have the Japanese tankobon, the Dragon Boxes, Dragonball Kai Blu-Ray, a mix of VHS fansubs and digital scanlations, and original Japanese broadcasts on VHS and SVHS.

I know you've mentioned not really having a way to make online purchases, but if that changes, I just finished contacting CD Japan about the rereleases of Toriyama's works with the new author comment obi. While they didn't mention if the books would actually have the new obi (despite me directly asking them about it), they did say that they had contacted the publisher after my request and now have all of them in stock. So no super high Amazon shipping prices.
