Question for fans of the Japanese soundtrack only please!

I think Shunsuke Kiskuchie is retired ATM. He is a pretty old guy like over 83 years old? I think his last time he worked was in Doraemon. DBZ Kai doesn't count because he didn't compose any new pieces for it. Actually when I think about it, I wonder what role he had in Kai Replacement Score, probably nothing and did he have a reaction to Kenji Yamamoto. I am pretty sure he doesn't go to conventions.

Actually, I can't even seem to find out anything about the guy. He's really mysterious in that regard. No disclosure of personal life, no interviews, no sign of him in group shots anywhere.....

Am I allowed to post here? I haven't seen Z or GT with the original score yet (still on my to-do list), but I have seen DB, and I'm a fan of the score present there. So, what does Sumitomo's score sound like? Is it anything like Tokunaga's work in DB Movie 4?

If you want to hear modernised Kikuchi music then give Techni Muyo it's somewhat like the score of Movie #13 if you've seen it then you can get an idea out of it.

The Dragon Ball franchise keeps on getting worse with these cheap sounding composers that come nowhere near to the Grand Kikuchi.

The Japanese fans love the Kikuchi score more than you think. A lot of them despised the Yamamoto score even before the plagiarism being found out. Now they aren't fond of the new one, too.

I haven't seen Movie 13 with the original score yet, but I have heard Tapion's Japanese theme. What I meant is that whereas I've read interviews with some of the other composers, specifically the American ones, I can't seem to find any interview from this guy at all. I mean, he did the music for the majority of the series, so it's strange that there's no word from him.

I kind of hate the new score, then again I'm kind of OK with it. It has a bit of an '80s cartoon flavor to it, which is a plus for me as I grew up with and enjoy that kind of music. On the other hand, Sumitomo really seems to just be phoning it in.

There are about three or four cues I can genuinely say I like... which isn't much, even between just two episodes, but it's better than nothing.

Hey, if I may, how come only fans of the Japanese soundtrack can weigh in on this? It seems like a question that would be easy enough whether you ever heard Kikuchi or not, so I'm just confused.

Nah I'm just messing with you. I'm guessing he wants to avoid someone from posting: "Japanese score sucks!" Or something to that effect. Me personally I'm a fan of both soundtracks. SHOCKING RIGHT?! I'm not however a fan of the new KAI or the music before the BFaulconer stuff started. (Can't remember his name, but it's episodes 1-50/60ish)

I'm also a fan of both soundtracks...well a-lot of soundtracks including the Yamamoto. and many different dubs I was just curious what the overall fans of the Japanese version only thought about this new musical piece. by all means anyone can join in even if they hate the Japanese version. I was just curious.
