I saw the anime before reading the manga so I thought it'd be looooong as he'll

That and I thought the movies were from the manga and part of the series too

So I was hella confused by Tree of Might and World's Strongest
The sword thing in budokai 2 I believed as well

This is a forum. As long as what I say falls under the rules, I can say negative things about the series if I want to. Not my fault DBZ has so much wrong with it.

Yeah, pretty much sums the show up right there.

It just looks kind of wrong -and makes it hard to take you seriously-when all you're doing is LITERALLY sharing negative opinions about the series. i think you're kind of missing the point of discussing in the forum.

I think the best thing is to ignore the guy

I mean it's kind of weird the relationship he has with the series but all his threads are echo chambers to validate his feelings

Just don't feed into it or give him attention

Oh yea I thought Paikhuan was Namekian

I used to think that Tien was really going to grow his arm back after Nappa punched it off.

It could have been worse, you could have thought Yu Yu Hakusho was the best anime ever.

This might make even less sense: I used to think (future) Vegeta gave it to him. Despite Vegeta never using a sword, at any point.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

My theory for a very short time was that Trunks' sword was the same one that Gohan used during his training with Piccolo.

Problem is you hold a very skewed background when trying to support your one-sided conclusions. Its perfectly legal but youre getting predictable.
Zephyr wrote:The fandom's collective fetishizing of "moments" is also ridiculous to me. No, not everyone needs a fucking "shine" moment. If that's all you want, then all you want is fanservice, rather than an actual coherent story. And of course those aren't mutually exclusive; you could have a coherent story with "shine" moments! But if a story is perfectly coherent (and I'm really not seeing any compelling arguments that this one is anything but, despite constantly recurring, really poorly reasoned, attempts to argue otherwise), and you're bemoaning the lack of "shine" moments as a reason for the story's poor quality, then you're letting your thirst for "shine" moments obfuscate your ability to detect basic storytelling when it's right in front of you.

I'd say "boring," rather than "predictable."

I thought the same, but I still love the series. And no its not nostalgia. I have nostalgia for Pokemon not Dbz.

I used to think
Goten was reincarnation of Goku
Americans dub was a parody (reminder I saw it from a differ country)
Krillin head was something to do with dragonballs
GT was fanmade
Only half Saiyans had ssj2
Ssj was a promotion for Gay people(see the reaction to SSJ thread. I'm not homophobic no more, i was misguided in my younger years)
Freeza was a girl(Korean dub gave her....I mean him a girl voice similar to 18)
Rock the dragon was a DBZ workout DVD
Yajoribe was a Saiyan(don't ask. I had the whole idea planned)
Every Dbz character was Jewish (my friends lied)
Kanzenshuu, DaizEx, and Kanzentai was guidebooks
Krillin nose was cut off
Cooler looked like the Easter Bunny
Dbz was Korean but DB was Japanese. Dont know how that's possible
