Post your funny old DBZ beliefs

Remember back when you first started watching Dragon Ball Z? We all had our fair share of beliefs that we thought were 100% true, but turned out the be a total load a crap. I'll give some examples of stuff that I used to think:

- Thought Freeza was a girl

- I thought all the Buu's were a different person, like an evil family.

- Pilaf and Garlic Jr where brothers

- General White was Dr.Gero

- There are female Namkes

Sorry if this thread was done before (I used the search bar and found nothing).

DBZ ws first anime I ever saw, when I was sick and ten years old, switching Tv channels and there was fight Goku vs Vegeta in Buu saga , I was like:
God damn it!!!! Some super-powered crazy idiots, I must watch his......

Then I thought that Vegeta is brother of Son Goku only because he can turn his hair blonde too and then I didn't thinking about nothing at all......

yeah + I missed 3 episodes and thought that Gohan and Vegetto are the same person, that Vegetto is Gohan's form of transformation

I also thought Freezer was female when he first showed up, what with the voice, the color pallet and the way he was sitting in the pod hiding the few masculine features he has. I figured it out when they kept referring to him as a 'he'.

When I was a kid first getting into the show on Toonami, I heard little things like whispers about future enemies, like this one named 'Baby'. Mix that in with what I think was a fanfic (before I knew what such things were) where two little kids find some little thing/child on a beach that's actually evil, and when I saw something like this-

Well, there's your bad guy. Even has horns.

There are more but I can't think of them right now.

I thought all the Boos were individual members of some alien race that had appeared sometime between the Saiyan and Freeza arcs.

I thought 'super saiyan' was a rank. Like there was a Goku...then a Super Saiyan Goku [example= BT1]

I also used to think that Garlic Junior was a Namekian.

I thought Freeza was female when I first saw the dub on Toonami. I thought "she" was some evil queen ruler of the universe.

Oh, and I thought Yamcha was Goku's dad because he looked older than him and they both wore the kame gi at the time.

I hadn't seen the saiyajin arc and came in during Freeza so I didn't know any better.

Other stuff I used to believe in:

- Dub errors like Radditz moving at the speed of light and Bardock was a brilliant scientist where ture

- Janemba was the person who steal up Elder Kai in the Z Sword

- Krillin was a 10 year old boy in DBZ

- Broly was indestructible

- Pikkon and Piccolo were related

- DBZ characters became so strong they can wipe out galaxies in one ki blast in two seconds.

I started watching Toonami during the Freeza saga so I had never seen the Saiyan saga. When they reaired the Saiyan saga episodes I thought Raditz was Vegeta before he had cut his hair.
I thought Pilaf and Garlic Jr. were related.
I thought Recoome was a Saiyan.
And various other things my friend had told me that I had believed. Most of which had to do with GT/After GT.

There's two things I recall believing when I first got into DBZ.
The first one being Recoome's name. Cartoonetwork would air episodes at like, 12am, back in the day. I watched an episode of the Ginyu arc and the narrarator said Recoome's name so fast that for a couple of weeks, I thought his name was Racoon...
The second thing was Android #16 in that I thought he was actually the robotic form of Recoome, for goodness sake...

I definitely thought Yamcha and Yajirobe were related to Vegeta, Goku, and Gohan when I first saw DBZ. Didn't know what a Saiyan was.

When I first saw videos / pictures of Goku as a kid in GT I thought that Goku had a second son. At the time I was not aware of Goten.

I thought Freeza was a gay alien. No I'm not joking this time I really believed that Freeza was an openly gay super villain because of his demeanor. I just thought "Hey it's Japanese cartoon they could have flamboyant characters. They have one in every anime now, right? A gay bad guy?"

I also thought future Trunks was Bulma and Goku's Son. I watched a random DBZ dub before I finished the Freeza saga and I wasn't really sure who this purple headed kid was at first. When he became a super Saiyan it made me think about the possible daddy. First I ruled out Yamcha since neither him or bulma are Saiyans, I didn't even consider Vegeta because... Well it's Vegeta, so that only left Goku. It blew my fucking mind since I was huge GokuxChichi fan. I had this deep seeded hatred towards Bulma until I finally saw the Cell saga.

I also thought Buu was made of evil magical pink bubble gum.

Not to mention a huge plothole, since it doesn't make any sense for Enma to allow them to keep their bodies in Hell.

I played Super Butouden 2 long before having any real clue about the plot of the Cell arc. One thing I did know, however, was that the series had a character named "Mr. Satan". With such a name, he obviously had to be a villain, so for some reason I assumed this green, obviously evil, guy in the game to be him. And the actual Mr. Satan, who fights Cell in a cutscene in the same game? That was obviously King Chapa.
Well, they KIND OF look alike.

Also, on my first time through the Uranai Baba arc, when this masked man with a halo appeared, I believed him to be God. I knew God was a character in the series from somewhere, and Akkuman was erroneously called "the Devil himself" in the Danish translation, so it wasn't that illogical a guess.
