TBH, genre-wise, I wouldn't want a purely orchestrated track, with nothing but violins and trumpets. It also makes DBZ feel old to me, and pretentious a bit because that type of sound is what I expect in a theatre film which DBZ isnt. I'd prefer them to follow the direction of what modern anime and older cartoons do, have some some rythmic sounds, epecially to make character themes recognizable with soft rock riffs for intense battle scenes, kind of like what Pokemon does. Its already what Toei does with Pretty Cure.

What made Bruce Faulconer's themes good regardless of how inconsistant they were, at least they were unique enough to cue certain moments as opposed to just placing riffs anywhere I felt Kai did just so it wouldn't feel as repeatitive or predictable like Yamamoto's Kai tracks. Though with pure Orchestra being their more likely their path, Id prefer them to do what the Remastered did having a very low-key subtle tribalish sound to it where its seamless and in the background kind of like what American movies have, over Kai's previous more J-popish marching-band type sound.

If that's all you want, then all you want is fanservice, rather than an actual coherent story. And of course those aren't mutually exclusive; you could have a coherent story with "shine" moments! But if a story is perfectly coherent (and I'm really not seeing any compelling arguments that this one is anything but, despite constantly recurring, really poorly reasoned, attempts to argue otherwise), and you're bemoaning the lack of "shine" moments as a reason for the story's poor quality, then you're letting your thirst for "shine" moments obfuscate your ability to detect basic storytelling when it's right in front of you.

Shunsuke Kikuchi's Tenchi Muyo (this is the series name right? I think) soundtrack.

I'd love if TOEI used Kikuchi's modern anime music for Kai but that's not happening.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

I could see Carter Burwell's Fargo score working for Dragon Ball. If anyone would do it it'd be awesome!

After watching Eureka 7 id love to hear Naoki Sato compose Dragonball. He also did the music for Sword of The Stranger (no wonder I love his work).
