We dont need what-if characters. If they merely include GT characters we'd have more than a sizable roster.

Yeah, Budokai 3 and Burst Limit actually had really good fighting systems. The problem was, as with most Dragon Ball games, every character played exactly the same, with the only differences really being speed and strength. It wasn't a dealbreaker for me, but I could see how most other gamers would get annoyed with it.

I don't see why people are so up in arms over the suggestion of what-if characters. Unlike Spike, with how Dimps typically treats transformations, it's very little work to include them. Tacking SS3 onto Vegeta, or SS and SS2 onto Bardock would only mean having the model change (and with SS forms, you can normally recycle the assets across characters anyway), a slight stat buff and maybe a new idle pose. They don't tend to alter every single animation, meaning it's easier to include a wider variety of characters and forms. So I say have fun, and if there is a character with a Heroes what-if, throw it in.

I don't want that. I like when the transformations alter the animations. It's true to the anime. Dimp's needs to fix that imo.

It's a big waste of effort. It should be left as is to make things easier on everyone. Less work to do on less extraneous content for the developer, resulting in more desired content that is more polished for consumers. It's the best way to handle things when stuck with yearly DBZ games, and we don't know exactly how long Dimps has been working on this (though we have an idea thanks to Treevax) or if we'll get a sequel.

Lack of familiarity with next gen development? Lack of time to create the desired resources? Too much influence from above (Bandai Namco or Shueisha)?

They are already going beyond Burst Limit by including the Buu Arc, so I'd say the hurdles they faced last time have probably been sorted out.

I don't have much to say, I've seen the trailer and I'm extremely excited for this game. I don't get easily excited, especially for a freaking DBZ game of all things. This just looks amazing, it's like everything I've loved about DBZ games up until this point jammed into one game. I know some people are upset this isn't a 2D fighter but I have faith in Dimps, this is gonna be a great game.

YES! Budokai 3 was my favorite and hyper dimensions as well. I really hope this turns out to be an awesome game. I want some fun things too like punching machines at the tournaments and such. :)

I'm hoping to get a good background score too like the original Budokai 3 had. I believe Yamamoto composed it? Just happy music in the intros and such haha

I can't believe I'm hype up for a DBZ game again. It won't surprise me if critics didn't like the game though. It will be like "Same old DBZ gameplay from 10 years ago".

I hope some characters from Heroes will make into the game. Knowing Dimps, everyone will likely start off in base form. We will likely return back to one Vegeta again which is good. Majin Saiyan Saga Vegeta looked awesome in Budokai 3. Maybe we can Vegeta's GT outfit for Vegeta since it would look cool to see Majin GT Vegeta. Maybe have both Majin Vegeta and Bebi Vegeta be via items similar how Majin Vegeta was in Budokai 2 and Budokai 3.
