Mmm... not bad actually.
Also it looks like the opening has less akward cuts in this version, i think i might like it more.

The ending is much better too.

It's hard to tell, but are those lyrics all in English? It's possible that they may have commissioned English-language opening titles in the knowledge that this was specifically for the international market. Perhaps the intention would be that Funimation would replace the vocals with a performer of their choice, and what we're hearing are the 'placeholder' vocals provided by Toei.

Kun Zen Zetsu Go has really grown on me, but having said that - I quite like this International opening, well, apart from the Bruce Dickinson-esque vocals. I'd say, in my opinion, it leaves a stronger impression on initial listening that Kun Zen Zetsu Go did.
'Multiculturalism means nothing in Japan, for every outside culture must pass first through the Japanese filter, rendering it entirely Japanese in the process.' - Julian Cope.

I prefer this international version opening to the broadcast one. I like Kuu-Zen-Zetsu-Go, but this Fight it Out is really good as well. Not to mention I like the opening animation itself much more. Less awkward cuts and many less spoilers. One thing I didn't like about the Japanese broadcast opening was how much they showed right then and there. The ending I'm torn on. I definitely like the ending animation more in the international version, but I prefer Dear Zarathustra. All in all, I'm much more impressed than I thought I was going to be. Honestly, this international version looks to be shaping up as the superior one. I like the fast pace of the Japanese broadcast, but, so far, it looks like some actual care and effort when into this version.

Opening for Final Chapters feels more fluid. Ending seems cut kinda weird (that cut to the photo in the middle) but it at least explains more like where Gokû is and who they're facing.
On hiatus.

I agree. I prefer the pacing of the original intro more than the international one -- it's a bit faster and seems more exciting.

I wonder why TOEI spent the money to basically make two (slightly-different) Kai versions for the Buu saga specifically. If they wanted to finish Kai cheaply as possible, it would make sense to make one version and just get it out of the door.

edit: nevermind, both intros spoil characters

Fight it Out is the original intro. Kuu-Zen-Zetsu-Go was only added after the decision to air it in Japan. That would make the Japanese theme the replacement. They made the Japanese version due to Toriko's cancellation so they needed an anime to fill a year, but no more. They had 69 episodes, edited them down, and put in some anime tie-in songs for extra money on the side. Sounds like 4Kids to me. The title card and eye-catch themes are even remixes of Fight It Out, proving that the International Version is the original.

I doubt Fight it out is made for promotional purposes since it was made in-house at Toei... Perhaps we will get a dub to Fight it out?

Depends on what Funi does nowadays. Have they dubbed any theme songs since the One Piece situation? If not, they'll probably leave them intact, especially since they're already in English to begin with. If not, I think it'd be totally awesome to have Funi dub them. :D That ending theme is just plain awesome!

No, Toei has pretty much told FUNimation to stop dubbing the One Piece songs, mainly because leaving them intact helps support the original musicians, which is understandable. I guess that's why the songs are sung in English in the first place. :D

I'd be happy if they brought back Dragon Soul because I've not been liking the new OP one bit.

Cause we can totally walk into Wal-Mart and buy the latest J-Pop album.

But in all seriousness, they're in English so they'll probably stay that way.

I still think that'd be a "Bad Export For You". Rest of the world gets a new songs and we're stuck with the one already used for 98 episodes? Just my opinion.

Off topic but you kinda can. They're hard to find and aren't promoted but you can.

That tweet at least seems confident that the TV version will end in March. Which we pretty much already knew, but it's nice to have further clarification on the "it'll air for roughly a year" stuff.

So 50-ish episodes, which means the international version will be about 15-ish episodes longer.

Going by the home release for japan it will be 48 episodes long meaning the international version will have 21 more episodes
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

It is indeed complete speculation, based on what he says:
With Dragon Ball Kai - Buu Arc ending in March 2015, I can see Ansatsu Kyōshitsu taking its place in April 2015.
I could see this happening as well, but we'll really have to wait and see how it plays out. However, I am glad everyone's getting on board with my Kai theory. ;)

The final box is tentatively listed, so the date and episode listings haven't been finalized yet. So I would agree with 50-ish episodes, as I'm doubtful they're going to be taking 4 weeks off, but I guess I could be wrong.

Toriko is hinted to return at some point, so I think that it's more likely for it to take Kai's place.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
