The same people who bought The Individual Disc release then the ultimate uncut edition then the dvd season sets then the dragon box's then the level sets then the rock the dragon edition and now the blu-ray season sets
The same people who bought
all of those? So, like... 20 people?
I see absolutely no reason why FUNi would release the Japanese TV version. It's not as easy as "they'll do it because they want money." If both the international and Japanese versions of the Buu arc were released into the same market, one would bomb. There's just not enough of a difference between both products. How do you market both of these? It's not the same as trying to market
Kai over
Z because then you can say things like "new dub" and "new music score." Aside from being a little shorter, there's no difference between the international and TV versions. They both use the same voice actor recordings and background music. On top of that, both of them would be "Kai Season Five" or whatever. How would you make a distinction between the two without totally confusing everyone? Call one of them a "director's cut?" That only works with movies. Nobody's going to invest in a second release of a 50+ episode TV series just because it's cut a little differently.
I can almost guarantee you that FUNimation will only release one. Which one? The longer version that was created for them in the first place.

My dilemma: complaining that
Kai is too fast-paced, while also complaining that it's too damn long, while
also trying not to sound like someone who can't be pleased.
