Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
I can't seem to comment on the news post right now, so I'll ask here if we can change the reference to Yamamuro as "character designer and animation supervisor" given his tenure as both is nearly the same length.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
So if this wish is so bad, can't the Z fighters just go to New Namek and unwish the wish with the power or Porunga? If Shenlong could do the wish, Porunga can certainly undo it.
People seem to forget that we have two versions of dragonballs now, assuming this takes place after the Freeza arc.

We have to see what it's all about and the implications of what occur, we don't really know enough to come up with solutions really. The db's on New Namek could have been used for something completely unrelated prior to the events of DB15 and so inactive at the time of the movie's plot.

Another great point i hadn't thought of, maybe those new namek dragonballs have been used for wishes recently.Chuquita wrote:The db's on New Namek could have been used for something completely unrelated prior to the events of DB15 and so inactive at the time of the movie's plot.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Ooh, lots of speculation to be made on this "reviving someone" revelation. My first thought was that it's not a previously known character (because, really, even villains that were huge threats before wouldn't stand a chance anymore), but some sort of previously unmentioned ancient evil. But I'd like for it to be something different that we haven't seen before, and something no one's guessed yet. Surprise us, Toriyama!
Some have wondered if the revival could be of more than one person. Well, the Japanese quote isn't specifically plural, but that doesn't mean it's not not plural. Though I think they might have used a different word than that if it were referring to a larger group...so my thought right now is that it's a singular entity rather than, say, an entire race as some have speculated.
And finally, who might be making the wish? I was struck by the fact that the wish used "imasu" at the end, since most of the characters don't speak so politely. So I started wondering if it's showing how the character in question is actually speaking, or was just being used as fairly neutral language to cover up the speaker's unique speech pattern... But right now my thought is it could be a new character somehow unleashing some terrible evil upon the world (intentionally or not).
God, this is so exciting! I'd like to say I'll go spoiler-free this time around, but I already know that's bullshit. I'll be lapping up every juicy tidbit of news Kanzenshuu gives us

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
So I've been reading all the latest speculations and theories, and while it's still too early to tell, I hope it's not Vegeta making the wish. Because it seems like this particular wish will cause the 'despair', and I feel like they would be undoing all of Vegeta's character development up until now. It's more fitting for Cell-era Vegeta to make a selfish wish 'to prove his power' (why would he though? He still hasn't surpassed Goku). The post-Buu Vegeta will naturally be more careful because he's so protective of his family, so why risk the natural order of things and mess things up? Unless he's really that stupid...
In regards to Vegeta playing a bigger part in this movie, maybe they have to revive a Saiyan army to help the Z-fighters get rid of the threat? Like it will give them a chance to redeem themselves a lil bit, and Vegeta gets to command an entire army. Or something.... Ugh it's late.
Dear god I hope it's not Broly...or Bardock.

Okay but what if Vegeta's wish is somehow filled with good intent? That would make Vegeta's wish very interesting so let's see what happens. As for a sidenote: wow a living saiyan army, my imagination can just take this in so many directions. (Although i highly doubt any saiyan army will be assembled)VyeRo wrote:So I've been reading all the latest speculations and theories, and while it's still too early to tell, I hope it's not Vegeta making the wish. Then it would still be a pretty stupid wish.
That's why I said I can't see Vegeta risking it, even if it was made with good intentions. And what would he wish for? He doesn't really care about his fellow saiyans, he still has to surpass Goku in power, he probably doesn't want a magic boost after the Majin fiasco...unless he's wishing for another saiyan to complete the SSJG ritual himself, but there's always Tarble. And Bulma would be like: lol why, I'm preggers.
If there's anyone from the Z gang making a wish, it's Goku, because he's the one constantly looking for new dangerous challenges.

I have no idea who will make the wish or for whom this person may want to revive. Can not wait to find out however. Also side note very curious to see Pan's design in this next movie as possibly a 3 year old. (Considering Birusu will awaken in 3 years i believe)VyeRo wrote:Then it would still be a pretty stupid wish.![]()

Seeing as how everyone is giving their predictions, I might as well give mine. IF, and thats a BIG if Vegeta happens to be the main protagonist, wouldn't it be interesting to see the originally SSJG be wished back? I only say this because if I remember correctly, the original SSJG fought off all of the evil Saiyans. Assuming that Vegeta's royal family goes back for decades, this SSJG might potentially consider Vegeta as evil, and the story would be centered around defeating him (or saving him for that matter). Just a thought.

That's an interesting take on it, a saiyajin god wished back who fights Vegeta as a saiyajin god? I don't find it that likely but at this point nothing is really ruled out since we don't know much.anth21ony wrote:Seeing as how everyone is giving their predictions, I might as well give mine. That's something i'm glad to hearsintzu wrote:1- Toriyama said it will have more actionMajin Vegeta Fan wrote:Cool!
I just hope this new movie isn't as bad as BOG
2- His first editor liked it
So i think it's safe to say it will be (Not saying BOG is bad just that this will be better)g
I feel like BOG lacked a lot of action, let's hope we get to see the super saiyan god's full potential this time.
Also, does this movie have any official release date yet?
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Somewhat hyped for a new movie, but not so much since it's just gonna be either the Goku or Goku and Vegeta show...with a bunch of losers who are now useless. Hell Goku is so powerful after the last movie that literally any opponent in his league makes anyone who hasn't become SSJ God, worthless. So it seems if Vegeta is gonna star, he'll have to become SSJ God to be in Goku's league.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Possibly! Maybe not even fighting Vegeta as a SSJG (or he may even become one during the film), but maybe more so to, 'finish what he started', since his time limit ran out initially, and was killed as a result. For all we know the orignal SSJG was killing off the evil Saiyans, of which included the royal family. Who knows, but discussions like these are always interesting!Careless Saiyajin wrote:That's an interesting take on it, a saiyajin god wished back who fights Vegeta as a saiyajin god?
