A rough translation (Forgive me for any errors, not a native spanish speaker):

In an interview for the japanese magazine "Newtype", where Akira Toriyama has replied to various questions regarding his projects of his Dragon Ball Z franchise, including questions regarding the new movie, the manga where Goku's mother will appear, the interviewer made a question which has tormented the minds of fans for years. Why did planet Namek take more than the 5 minutes Freeza claimed? To which Toriyama replied:

Freeza didn't know how much 5 minutes was in earthling time; he was counting in his own scale and was trying to convert the time and he didn't estimate that it was more than 15 minutes. Even if the energy blast reached the core of the planet in the 5 earthling minutes, it didn't destroy the planet, instead it caused a chain reaction which ultimately caused the planet to blow up.

When asked why he didn't destroy the planet in one blast, Toriyama laughed and replied:

Freeza wasn't really as powerful as he had thought. The character was arrogant and had an inferiority complex for (?) his brother and father, so it wasn't difficult that he overestimated his strength, and even in his own scale 15 minutes was a low amount of time. He wouldn't be the first villain to want to destroy the villain with a single blast of Ki, for example, Cell can destroy entire galaxies, but only if he fires a Kamehameha at the sun and causes a similar effect.

The interview finished with a salute to the readers and with Toriyama dodging the question of whether Superman could beat Goku.

The internet is a terrifying place. Thinking more generally, people can put up whatever they want as fact for other people to believe, with ANYTHING. This is a smaller matter, but it still amazes me how this sort of thing works.

And the interview as summarized just screams "fan-made fake", with Toriyama talking about stuff that fans want him to talk about, as opposed to the stuff he actually tends to talk about. And while it would be characteristic of Toriyama to "dodge the question of whether Superman could beat Goku", that's really not the sort of question Newtype is likely to ask him.

I did think that the "Freeza not knowing what an Earth minute was" sounded Toriyamaish, especially in light of the newer interviews.

early goku yes? but remember goku has much more tricks up to sleeve all superman does is comes into the fight mindlessly beats up the guy, and if it doesnt work tries to use heat vision that dramastically decreases his vulnerability. goku on the other hand, i can began listing his abilities but it would take half of a day, plus screwattacked messed gokus speed up ;P
