"(Super) Dragon Ball Heroes" Official Discussion Thread
Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
So is Time Patrol Trunks a different character all together or his he just Future Trunks with a new outfit? Reason I ask is maybe if TPT can go SS3 in Heroes, it might cross over into XV.

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Time Patrol Trunks in DBO was just Future Trunks a little after he returned to his own time and killed the robits.
Xenoverse is borrowing elements from DBO. So if we assume it's an alternate timeline that starts after DBZ too, then I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same for this version of Trunks.
Heroes' implementation of the Xenoverse Trunks should mean that it's the same Trunks, whatever his backstory ends up being. But with the nature of how the cards in the game work, by classifying him as "Trunks:Xeno", he's effectively a different character for now, regardless of his history. This is the first Trunks:Xeno card, so even if he is the same Future Trunks that has SS3, he currently doesn't even have access to Super Saiyan. So we'll have to see what they do with him moving forward.
Honestly, despite the fact that we've all seen Trunks as a Super Saiyan countless times before, I'm pretty excited to see him officially transform in the DBO outfit (something he never did in the MMO).

I am too cause I really love his costume and Future Trunks has always been one of my favorite characters. And since DBO's story was created by Toriyama I like knowing he's an "official" character as opposed to the what-ifs. I know it don't really make a difference but for some reason with that character it means something to me.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Time Patrol Trunks in DBO was just Future Trunks a little after he returned to his own time and killed the robits.

It's Goku as he appears in Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, which is intended to be the same Goku that you see throughout the entirety of the Dragon Ball manga.budokaifanatic007 wrote:Wait so is this new Kid Goku a new goku or is it the same DB kid Goku?

I think that what he means is, is he a separate Goku card like Gohan: Childhood, Gohan: Boyhood, etc are separate characters in the game?VegettoEX wrote:It's Goku as he appears in Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, which is intended to be the same Goku that you see throughout the entirety of the Dragon Ball manga.budokaifanatic007 wrote:Wait so is this new Kid Goku a new goku or is it the same DB kid Goku?

It has the same name as kid goku, so that means it's just a costume and not a different character.

Yet DBO and presumably Xenoverse's Trunks are supposed to be the same Trunks we followed in the the series, just with a new outfit. He received a title change on his card to Trunks:Xeno though. So regardless of what the story is supposed to be for the character, I'd say it's a valid question in regards to the game (which has a history of making some odd choices).VegettoEX wrote:It's Goku as he appears in Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, which is intended to be the same Goku that you see throughout the entirety of the Dragon Ball manga.

I guess they could've called him "Kakarrot" on that card, if they really wanted to make a distinction, since it's Goku before he gets that name. Must be just the costume.

I don't understand. Was Goku not a newborn when sent to Earth? How would you fight with a newborn baby?VegettoEX wrote:It's Goku as he appears in Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, which is intended to be the same Goku that you see throughout the entirety of the Dragon Ball manga.budokaifanatic007 wrote:Wait so is this new Kid Goku a new goku or is it the same DB kid Goku?
Only way this makes any sense if he got a new costume.

That's just it - Jaco brings into question whether Goku was really a newborn, or just a young boy, when he was sent to Earth.DarkPrince_92 wrote:I don't understand. He is shown to be 3 years old in Jaco The Galactic Patrolman & Dragon Ball Minus, which is also implied in DBZ: Battle of Gods. Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Could've sworn in the manga as Raditz is flying towards Roshi's island mentioning Kakarot, there's an image of Goku drawn as a newborn. I guess his age wasn't really implied at that point. Still, Goku doesn't even look 3 in that image. Can't see him fighting anyone at age 3 either...DBZGTKOSDH wrote:He is shown to be 3 years old in Jaco The Galactic Patrolman & Dragon Ball Minus, which is also implied in DBZ: Battle of Gods. That was just Raditz remembering Goku as he was the last time he saw him. Raditz had left on a mission, which is why he had only seen him as a newborn.DarkPrince_92 wrote:Could've sworn in the manga as Raditz is flying towards Roshi's island mentioning Kakarot, there's an image of Goku drawn as a newborn. There is that, but that could easily just be Radtiz's mental image of his brother, from the last time he saw him. I mean, he has no clue what his brother would look like now, other than the vague connection of the hair obviously, and probably assuming his brother has a tail.DarkPrince_92 wrote:Could've sworn in the manga as Raditz is flying towards Roshi's island mentioning Kakarot, there's an image of Goku drawn as a newborn. As far as the age thing goes, don't forget that Goku has always been kind of odd in that regard. Never has he looked his age, especially not back in original Dragon Ball.

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
I think it helps to stop thinking about it in human terms. Goku's growth patterns are that of a Saiyan, which we know are different. In Jaco/DB-, Goku at age 3 is already the same size as he is when Dragon Ball starts, and he basically stays that size until his training under Popo and Kami. Saiyans seem to grow from newborn size to child size relatively quickly to help better defend themselves if need be, and then, confirmed with Jaco, they stay child sized to help deceive the inhabitants of the planets they invade until their body is ready to grown into that of an adult suited for combat.Gyt Kaliba wrote:There is that, but that could easily just be Radtiz's mental image of his brother, from the last time he saw him. Hi guys, I'm kind of a newbie in regards to dragon ball heroes cards, i own a few that i bought online but there is one information i can't find.
I know where to find the gummy boxes and starter packs, like on amazon japan, yahoo auction and all, but where do you find the booster packs? all the rare cards, the CP and the SR, where do you get those? Are there any booster packs?
thanks

You'll have to search auction sites, because they are only dispatched from the arcade machine.nicolas_3d wrote:Hi guys, I'm kind of a newbie in regards to dragon ball heroes cards, i own a few that i bought online but there is one information i can't find.

While it doesn't entirely make sense seeing how he learned it from Gohan (though you could rationalize it), Kakarotto here has the Janken as his attack.budokaifanatic007 wrote:So is Goku supposed to have a new attack? He hasn't seen kame sennin do it yet?
