My gosh, don't even get me started on people who say the Japanese version sucks because "Goku sounds like a whiney little girl!". There is nothing more irritating to come from a "DragonBall Z Fan" than that. I want to rip my hair out then stab people who say that.

I'll help with both.

And if you ask me, nobody has any right to call themselves a "fan" of any anime unless they're willing to appreciate it in its original form as well as whatever dub they've gotten used to.

That's for damn sure. For example, I LOVE the Rurouni Kenshin dub and even prefer it over the original Japanese, but I still enjoy and respect the Japanese voice cast and will still watch it on occasion.

People who have bashed the Japanese DBZ have usually only watched one episode in Japanese at most, and are usually focusing on Masako Nowaza's performance and not most of the other seiyuu, who sound damn manly.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

I'm sorry. I just said everyone should appreciate the original japanese; they don't have to like it more than any other version. You can like whatever dub you want, more than the japanese if you want.

(and if that's the FUNi crew you like, then I'm with you.

***Hands Rocketman a cookie and pats him comfortingly on the back***

There, there.

I think the same goes for FUNi's version as well.

In my opinion FUNI's version isn't worth appreciating. Maybe if it were actually a GOOD dub.........

No one has an obligation to like or appreciate the Dub other than to recognize it as the only legal means to get the Japanese Version with English Subtitles and should adhere to such.

Heck, I also feel every fan should be obligated to appreciate the Manga, even if they don't read it or care for it, solely because that the Anime wouldn't exist if the Manga didn't.

If Ms. Nozawa actually does own her own voice acting school, I bet that must be a very awesome place.
On hiatus.

A Masako Nozawa thread, and no mention of her title role on Dororon Enma-kun? One of her first major roles!

She also voiced the evil, and cunning Saturn from Majokko Megu.
