How much time passed when Kami reactivated the Dragon Balls?

After King Piccolo made a wish, he killed Shenron. After all that fiasco, and King Piccolo was killed, and then Goku made it to the lookout and spoke to Kami, how much time has passed since the Dragon Ball were last used before Kami reactivated it (after Popo glued back all the pieces of Shenron) again, even though it was still less than a year?

Probably less than 24 hours. Piccolo Daimao regains his youth and kills Shenlong on May 8th, AGE 753, and Kami restores the balls the next day on the 9th.

Shenlong gets pieced back together and revived the very next day after Piccolo blows him up. If you want to get technical, he's killed May 8th, Age 753 and revived May 9th, based on the Daizenshuu 7 timeline (May 9th, as it happens, is one of just a handful of specific dates actually mentioned in the series, since Piccolo says it during his big speech to the world).

Whoa... so that all happened in one day? But didn't Tien train to learn the Evil Containment wave after King Piccolo got his youth back? Tien did that in one day?

I'll have to go back and check, but I think Tenshinhan's training is shown alongside the scenes of Goku suffering under the Ultra Holy Water's influence, meaning it all really does happen the same night (Yajirobe says Goku suffers for about 6 hours, at which point it's morning, so it seems Goku drank the water near midnight). Backtracking to the start of the story arc, it's night when the tournament wraps up, then Goku's knocked out and wakes up next morning, then things happen seemingly one after the other until he drinks the Ultra Divine Water that night, which leads to him fighting Piccolo next morning. It does get confusing though because several times it will be daylight in one location, then the scene switches to another location where it's shown to be dark outside, presumably to indicate that those two locations are very far apart. But basically everything from the tournament's end to Piccolo's defeat seems to happen in about a 30 to 36 hour period and not much longer.

Come to think of it though, after Goku beats Piccolo, he says Karin's herbs heal him in "only" a day (this is weird, since it seems Toriyama momentarily forgot about senzu), meaning I guess Goku must have head for the temple the day after his victory, putting it on May 10th. Which I think means I've just found another small error in the Daizenshuu 7 timeline, but I'll have to investigate more fully later (...I need to get a lot of sleep).

Yeah, WTF? There's night and day scenes as I was skimming through the Dragon Ball episodes. Apparently, it took a good part of an evening for Yajirobe to climb up Korin tower with Goku on his back. This was happening while King Piccolo seized Chow Castle in Central City... in daytime.

Scenes that show that Tien was training to master the Evil Containment wave is set at night, which means he's training on the same side of the world that Goku, Korin, and Yajirobe are in.

Look at the DB world map. Those two points, where Central City/Central Capitol and Korin's tower isn't that far away. That's about a similar distance to when Goku, Piccolo, and Gohan flew from the Son family house to where #19 and #20 were supposed to appear. This map seems... wrong?

It's introduced after Goku gets beat up by Piccolo the first time and heads to Karin's.
