It's a fun song. Not a great song, but fun.
We've had J-Pop/Rock for ~20 years now; shaking things up a bit is a good thing.

All Freeza themes from (original) media like anime or games should be used throughout the movie because why not. Too bad there would be copyright problems everywhere.

Just got done listening to the OPP's recap of the DB/OP Jump Festa Panel. Sounds like it was fun; VA's drawing characters (and them being joke-drawings like the four forms of Freeza as cell phone evolutions), characters talking to each other over the phone (Kuririn talking to Freeza), this one I saw on Twitter already but Freeza doing a Ceasar Clown (from OP) laugh, OP VA's filling in and reading lines for Tagoma and Sorbet during the movie dialogue part, the rest of the non-DB OP VA's doing all the background sounds (lots of wind) when Gokû and Freeza are conversing. Also mentions the other stuff that has been posted online from the panel already like the Gohan and Kuririn magazine scans. It wraps up around the 47 minute mark in the podcast if anyone's interested.

Dbz Kai is it's origins. It's also one of few bgms from Kai that isn't stolen.

I've only heard it used in Kai. Kanzenshuu's page for the song claims it's an Insert Song for episodes 37 & 40.

That's a shame, Chris Ayres as Freeza in Kai was pure magic (I can't wait to see him in the dub for this movie).

The song was a good choice for Freeza too. I'd actually like both songs in the movie if they could.

Man, this is going to be a fun movie, I'm sure. Toriyama's having fun, and when Toriyama has fun, magic happens.
