Favourite DBZ Vocalists
There's probably been a few around, but at least for me it's Hironobu Kageyama and Takayoshi Tanimoto. Not sure who I really prefer. I do want to see them do a duet together.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: Favourite DBZ Vocalists
"Don't you see!" had always been one of my favorite songs from the series, so eventually I started listening to ZARD outside of GT. Now I own almost all of their CDs. I really liked GT's music, probably because it was regular J-Pop, so Akihito Tokunaga (the BGM composer), FIELD OF VIEW, and DEEN are also favorites of mine.
An interviewer asks, "The soundtrack in Sonic 3 has become legendary. Is it true that you worked with Michael Jackson on it?" Takashi Iizuka kills all of our hopes and dreams by replying, "You know, those are just rumors, and SEGA does not want to say anything about them. So they will forever be just rumors..." WHY!?

Hironobu Kageyama is the best for DBZ. Really hope he returns for Xenoverse.

Haven't we already gotten these in GT? Goku dies, the DBs go away, and the Namekian DBs most likely won't be used again because of the Evil Dragons.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

My vote for worst would be whoever sang "Rock the Dragon". That was a pretty cool song but the singing was cringeworthy.

Hiroki Takahashi, who also sung Mystical Adventure. I'd have to second this, although I love Kageyama too. Overall, I enjoy most of the vocalists.DarkPrince_92 wrote:Whoever sang this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8JwUGR9Sok

Re: Favourite DBZ Vocalists
For me, I'd say good-old "Mr. DBZ" (aka Hironobu Kageyama) is probably one of my favorites. I love some of his slower songs (Compass of Gold, Comet Library, Goodbye, Tears!). He's just so full of emotion, and he really pours it all out when he sings.
KUKO is awesome too. Her voice just works so nicely for ballads and upbeat jams. That's always great for a singer to have.
Still, Tricky Shirai is my favorite. Arashi no Zenchou: Mugon no Zawameki is definitely my favorite song. His voice is kind of simplistic, but that can be a good thing.
Some of the new Kai songs are great too.
I pretty much like everybody though.

Hironobu Kageyama is THE singing voice for the Dragon Ball franchise. They don't call him Mr DBZ for nothing.

Hironobu Kageyama is definitely #1, but Hiroki Takahashi is not far behind him. I love Ushio Hashimoto as well.
Takayoshi Tanimoto has grown on me, and I wouldn't mind if he continued as the new voice of the franchise. But he's still not in the same league as Kageyama and Takahashi.

Re: Favourite DBZ Vocalists
I realize I'm in the minority here, but I'm honestly just not that big on Kageyama. He's a good singer, and the songs are good, but at this point...eh...I dunno. I just feel like I've had my fill of him with DB and would relish having someone new come along and stick around with the franchise for a good long while. It probably doesn't help that I prefer Takahashi, who came first and yet people seem to constantly overlook him in favor of Kageyama.
I mean, Takahashi gave us Mezashi Tenkaichi. You just can't beat that.
Other than that though, I used to not really care for them, but I actually really like Nozawa's songs for DBZ movies 1 and 2, as well as this one character song she did as Goku, so I wouldn't have minded hearing more of that in the franchise.

Hiroki is the best tho agreed...he gave us Mezase Tenkaichi and Makafushigi Adventure both of which make me think more of the Franchise than Chala-Head-Chala or We Gotta Power

Yes, Toru Furuya sings Wolf Hurricane, as well as the other Yamcha song "Ookami."Doctor. wrote:Who sang Wolf Hurricane? Toru Furuya? If so, then him![]()
Kageyama and Takahashi too, obviously.

I love Kageyama and Takahashi also, but I also love YUKA. I can listen to "Brain Dance" all day and not get bored.
