Who do you think will play GT Goku in English from now on, from Xenoverse and onwards.
I really hope that Stephany comes back! I love her Goku!

Most likely it will be Colleen Clinkenbeard. I'm pretty sure they already decided she was taking over the character which is why she was Goku in Curse of the Blood Rubies.

Xenoverse might be the first DBZ fighting game I play since Budokai 3. ^.^

On a side note, I wish they made a real competitive DBZ fighting game that would be respected enough to be featured at EVO. >.>

Didn't Super Dragon Ball Z try to be one and failed?

Good for her. She got the role based on actual acting talent. Stephany got the role in 1999 because FUNi couldn't afford anyone better and they just kept her for other dubs due to nepotism/cheapness. I think it's about time some people take off the nostalgia vision goggles.

Yeah, apparently.

But Super Dragon Ball Z is very underrated. I may not be the hugest fan of the game but I won't deny its ambition to add a competitive nature to Dragon Ball fighting games that has non-existent for God knows how many years.

For 5 years. When Raging Blast came out instead of a Burst Limit sequel, and it was set in stone that the Spike fanboys became the voice of the fandom culminating in a game pretty much plays itself (Ultimate Tenkaichi).

Uhh...how does nepotism tie into it at all? So far as I know, she's not related to anyone at FUNi. It's also not fair to chalk it all up entirely to nostalgia, since a lot of people that don't like her Gohan actually did like her Goku, and some of us - such as myself - are still major fans of the franchise today, in Japanese no less, while still enjoying her work. So it's not always a case of nostalgia. Besides, 1999 would have been around the time she got Gohan, not Goku.

At any rate, it's almost without a doubt going to be Clinkenbeard. They didn't bring Nadolny back for Curse of the Blood Rubies, so I can't see them doing it for a game.

Honestly? I love Colleen as Gohan, but I think Stephany did a better job as Kid Goku. And let me remind you;
Yes, Stephany Nadolny got the job as Gohan because she applied to an ad in the newspaper. BUT, she AUDITIONED for Goku. FUNimation had already used other actors for Goku, but it seems that they, at the time, decided to go with Stephany Nadolny in the long run, because they thought she did a good Kid Goku.
I`m not saying Stephany is amazing, or that Colleen is horrible. I`m not saying that people who compliment things from FUNimation prior to Kai aren`t always wearing nostaliga goggles!

Last time she dubbed Gohan was in Raging Blast 1 & the last time she dubbed Goku was in Revenge of King Piccolo. Both were in 2009.

I'm hoping Stephanie Nadolny returns to reprise her original roles for this game. I think there's a pretty large possibility of it happening considering that FUNimation at least went through the effort of recycling some of her old work to use in the flashback scenes for the extended cut of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods in order to make it consistent with the Dragon Ball Z series. Also, something I noticed that I found interesting is that Gohan's voice wasn't changed from the Japanese one during Bandai-Namco's livestream showcase, which I can only hope means that they're at least trying to get Stephanie Nadolny to record for the game. Also, in the latest official English trailer, the scenes that show Gohan mysteriously mute his voice but in the Japanese version of the trailer you can still hear him. Although somebody data-mined the PS3 beta and found voices for Gohan that were recorded by Colleen Clinkenbeard, the same person also found clips for Cell which were recorded by Travis Willingham. The latest English trailer, however, seems to indicate that Dameon Clarke is the one voicing Cell for this game.

I'm hoping Nadolny returns to do GT Kid Goku. It would seem stranger somehow to think of Clinckenbeard's Goku turning SSJ4 and becoming Schemmel.

I'd like Nadolny to voice him again because I can't stand Clinkenbeard but since I always play the DB games in Japanese it's not something that'd matter much to me.

They didn't care about consistency for Battle of Z; I don't see why they would go through any trouble here.

Aaaaand, Clinkenbeard is a much better voice actress than Naldony. If there's any indication that she was being stubborn and uncooperative with FUNimation, then she doesn't deserve to reprise her role with Gokû or Gohan. I'm glad Clinkenbeard continues to play both of them, and I will continue to support her with her role for GT Gokû. Bye bye, Naldony.
