That's certainly the case. They give the game shit for having repetitive missions yet give Raging Ass, Battle of Zzz..., and even fucking Ultimate Tenkaishit higher scores.

It is just boring. No Dimps games or Spike games were 30 FPS.
BT 1-3, Tag Team, Ultimate Tenkaichi, and Burst Limit were 30 fps IIRC.

"Pretty" is a graphical thing. Frames per second is a gameplay thing. Totally different matters.

Call me 'ignorant' if you wish, but I could care less about 'frame rates' or anything like that. All I want is a fun game. And this game seems to be that and more, so far. But admittedly I must be looking for something different than most fighting game fans, since it seems like Smash Bros. Melee is still a lot of people's preferred choice - because it's "competitive" - but for me Brawl is still the best Smash Bros., for the story mode alone.

Oh I don't doubt that, since the 3DS one is already fun as hell. But Brawl is still my favorite between the two, if I had to pick.

I agree with a lot of this, I think people focus way too much on frame rates that they go tunnel vision about the game. Not to say there aren't valid compliants with frame rate but there is more to a game then it's frame rate. Plus I liked Brawl a lot cause I could actually play it on fair grounds! Oh the horror stories with melee...

Here's the thing, for any game that requires more than an iota of brain power. Frame rate matters a lot. Especially action oriented games with lots of offensive and defensive options for the player to use. Some of these things have to be done and executed in a split second, some have more lenient timing. You don't want to lose because the frame rate is inconsistent and you dropped a game winning combo or you tried to dodge but the game said naw and you get hit square in the mouth and die. That is irritating. And considering this is the video game adaption of one of the most fast paced, martial arts mangas ever. You'd kinda expect a crisp, consistent frame rate. I could be full of it though.

Well that's still nothing new for the PS3 gen. The frame drops in Raging Blast 1 and 2 are real as shit.

Ps3 was pretty crap with the way games were coded for it. Playing Storm 3 and calling out my assist was sometimes too much to ask as they lag GOT REAL.

Except I don't expect high frame rate. I don't care or put emphasis on frame rate. I've had this conversation before here and I'd rather not go through it again. You also make it sound like only you have to fight at said frame rate, everyone and I'll emphasize this EVERYONE on the last gen systems fight at 30fps. That's really all I'll get into it cause like I said, I'd rather not have this argument again because it usually turns ugly and that isn't needed here. :|

So that stream begins in 2 hours but it looks like its not xenoverse only focused, but some Japanese Bandai Namco event ?

So Raging Blast 1-2 ran at 60 fps? Guess that (partly) explains why the controls sucked.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

If that turns out to be the case then they'll most likely show some Naruto SUN 4, Xenoverse, J stars victory VS+ and if we're lucky (AND I'M REALLY HOPING WE ARE!) A console version of Gundam Extreme VS. Max Boost.

And that's pretty much where I'm sitting here. I've not yet played a PS3 game, but I've played tons of PS2 games, a fair few of them fighters (DBZ fighters no less). I've never had any kind of problem where a game's input seems to be slow enough to cause me to get into a corner (well, save for an old copy of Budokai 3 that I once had, but that was due to scratches on the disc - the game would literally freeze while a transformation/hyper mode was triggered, which was kind of hilarious to watch really  ). So, and again I admit I'm no expert here, I can only presume that PS3 games probably move at at least that same level of speed, presumably more...so it should be fine, for me, at least.

Funny that the JoJo's game was brought up earlier too, as I have that game on order, and all of the videos for it I've seen look like it moves fast as heck.

As for that stream, oh man, I hope we get more on J-Stars as well, but I'm not banking on it. It's release isn't anywhere near as close as Xenoverse's is.

Pretty much every DB fighter from PS2 til now has run at 60 fps. It should be especially obvious for BT3 and RB. The game is fast and responsive.

I had Jojo's last year and played it for months, the game is beyond slow and it was said since before release that the game would be 30 fps. The Storm games run at 30 fps, one reason I hate them because it basically makes split second reactions impossible. That's an issue considering some of the BS you deal with in the game. This is common sense, you ideally want the game to display itself as smoothly as possible so you can have a solid gameplay experience. This is a moot argument though, the 60 FPS is here and that's that.
