I would of course prefer hair design changes for Super Saiyan, but I'm not really bothered by the idea of it staying the same and just changing color...it if the hair is already spiky.

I will be a bit perturbed if you're equipping Super Saiyan 2 to these avatars with normal straight hair and there's not a spike to be seen though..

We're all going to have to take the create a charecters with a grain of salt and relax when it comes to making them go super Saiyan and what not. The game has a lot to offer despite any design and authenticity concerns regarding custom charecters and super Saiyan design.

Look, it's rated B by Cero. A first for Dragon Ball games.

Oh and you can play as the possessed characters, apparently. You can also select 23rd Budokai Chi-Chi's cheongsam, waistband, pants, and shoes for female CaC. Wonder if you can get the hair.

I also wonder how Ginyu's body change is implemented into the game. Does it work like it does in the show, or does it work the same as it did in the Budokai games, Budokai Tenkaichi (Sparking!), and Burst Limit.

Really great trailer! I'm guessing this is the launch trailer seeing as how it's releasing next week in Japan.

I've been wondering about this too, though wasn't it done pretty differently in Budokai versus the Tenkaichi games? From what I remember, in Budokai it was a pretty cheap move, in that with some luck you could just let yourself get pummeled within an inch of death, and then change and beat your opponent almost effortlessly. In the Tenkaichi series, I seem to recall it either putting you in just a random body, or maybe it was still your opponent's, but it locked you out of being able to do any special moves at all. I'm conflicted on what I'd want too - the former is definitely more show accurate, but is really cheap in gameplay; the latter isn't accurate, and is barely worth ever performing at all. It'd be nice if they could find a way to balance it out somehow.

Is that a good rating? By the way I have a really good feeling about this game, it seems this will be top notch by my book.

Latest trailer looks very good, I'm really eager to get my hands on this game. 15 hours sounds pretty meaty though and the 100 hours could be annoying if you wish to create many characters and have to grind for certain costumes. I guess I'll be a Saiyan first though, as I'm sure many of us will be.

Hopefully it'll be up to pre-order on PSN soon.

In the first Tenkaichi, he switched with the opponent but fought as the opponent rather than Ginyu, just like in Budokai only he didn't damage himself during the move (damaging himself was a Favorite Technique/Blast 1 called "Self-Harm") but in BT2 and 3 he switched with Goku (Mid), Kid Gohan, Vegeta (Scouter), Kuririn, Kiwi (BT2), Jheese, or Nail (BT3) randomly. He still fought like Ginyu and gained max health (how much depending on the body) but couldn't use any special moves like you mentioned. The Raging Blast/Ultimate Tenkaichi games sorta balanced it out by only switching with Goku but still having all of your specials (except understandably the Ultimate/Transformation).

Oh and the move's not as cheap as you think in Budokai 1 and 2. You have to do a combo (>PPPKE) to execute it and it doesn't really connect all the way so a half-decent player or the AI can simply block halfway through the combo.

It's not a game mode. "Villainous Mode" is what the possessed state is being called here in North America.

That trailer was so terrific and yet so pro-Saiyan Cac. Now I am caught between having a Saiyan, Frieza race or Majin as my main CAC character. If only Majins got some form of absorption. Oh well.

Well it's kinda been that way from the start. One of the tag lines for the 'You are the reclaimer' trailer was 'ANYONE CAN BE A SAIYAN!' Plus with how the other CaC character classes outside of freeza race get shafted transformation wise. It's very clear that the saiyan race is the thing xenoverse is really pushing.

Ah, I have been ignoring this game a lot until recently so I missed a lot hype media releases and whatnot. Correct me if I am wrong but Japan gets the game first, so maybe by the time it comes over here to the US, I can know mostly stat and technique differences of each race.

We all know the favorite race by far are the Saiyans within the franchise's fanbase. They get the cool forms, do all the fighting, etc. Naturally most of the fans are gonna flock to them.

I cant really blame Namco and/or DIMPS for making a Saiyan the poster race for the game's customs though. Let's all be honest, if you saw this guy -

always paired up with Goku and in all the cut-scenes, do you really think people would be as excited for the game as they are now? At least speaking for the majority of the fanbase. Even Ill admit the Saiyans are my favorite race and the others dont terribly interest me. Saiyans are just more marketable.

Another point in the Saiyan's favour is that they look like humans, so characters can create Saiyans that are meant to represent them. We've got a human race but they don't get Super Saiyan forms, and are just plain weaker than Saiyans in the series.

So it's quite understandable that Saiyans get most of the focus and attention.
