This negative makes me laugh as almost no one who has the game(who can record gameplay) can understand how to play 3D budokai lol. People have no concept of even basic mechanics whether defensive or offensive so for something so "simplistic" it seems people are struggling to understand it. Unless reviewer knows every combo variation for every character, can perfect guard every attack in the game and could go toe to toe with Chaospunishment.Lord Beerus wrote:Gave it a 3/5Shinnin wrote:Gameblog reviewed it.

The ones not in bold are valid..too simplistic? This is by far one of the more technically complicated dbz games..
Woow! Cutscenes brought a score down?...how is that even a valid thing!
Something not being smoother also brought the score down...this is a fantastic review. (Inserted sarcasm)

Guess people are too used to their button-masher Tenkaichi games.P5BLDV wrote:This negative makes me laugh as almost no one who has the game(who can record gameplay) can understand how to play 3D budokai lol. I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Which make sense if he said the game is too complicated, but he said it is too simplistic. I mean of course the game is simple compared to a traditional fighter. It is an anime fighter. It is supposed to be easy enough that you can do cool stuff after a few days instead of a few weeks. However it is still a fighting game and even those mashy tenkaichi games required skill to master. And I doubt any of these reviewers are good enough at any fighting game to properly critique the real issues.

I want this game right now, especially after listening to the podcast and how VegettoEX and a few others have already started playing it in Japanese!

Does anyone know if you can co-op the story? If so than can you do it live, local or both?

I wonder how many of these reviews are basing it on previous DBZ games regular than looking at it as it's own thing. I'm super excited for it and will play it like crazy, reviews be damned. I'm part of the PC master race, so I haven't touched a DBZ game since whatever was on the PS2 way back in the day.

The side story Parallel Quests only, not the actual main story. And I think 1v1 is the only thing you can do locally. Everything else is either offline/solo, or online.Careless Saiyajin wrote:Does anyone know if you can co-op the story? If so than can you do it live, local or both?

I would get it for the PS4. Better resolution, better framerate stability.coola wrote:If there is someone who owns both PS3 and PS4 version, could you tell, please, should i get game for PS3? or wait until i get PS4, and get it on that platform?

Parallel quests can be only be online, as far as I know.Careless Saiyajin wrote:Oh Okay so the main story we do single player however we can multiplayer the parallel quests together. There are offline options too. That's why there are two sides when you go to the parallel quest center: one for offline, one for online.Lord Beerus wrote: Parallel quests can be only be online, as far as I know.
Depends on when one is getting PS4. If it's not for several months, then getting it for PS3 now is the best option, If it's only a few weeks, then waiting for a PS4 would be more worth it.Careless Saiyajin wrote: Honestly though if you're not getting a ps4 anytime soon then i would get current gen. EDIT: I forgot that you need PS+ to play online for PS4. Unless you're fine with that...

What you said is pretty much the point I was making but yes I agree.EA575 wrote: Depends on when one is getting PS4. If it's not for several months, then getting it for PS3 now is the best option, If it's only a few weeks, then waiting for a PS4 would be more worth it.

A button-masher isn't necessarily simplistic.P5BLDV wrote:Which make sense if he said the game is too complicated, but he said it is too simplistic. -About sales-
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... 2-8/.84331
Just love how the two best selling games last week were Dragon Ball Xenoverse for ps3 and Dragon Ball Xenoverse for ps4!!
I think its pretty clear Dimps should stay longer with us this time. I would always get pissed when Spike was having chance after chance, fail after fail, during ps3 generation.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.
