I'm just hoping for a new trailer or two, that shows a couple different things, they don't even have to be main story related. :P

To be clear, that is just a fan-manga and has absolutely nothing to do with the official three-chapter manga coming from Toyotaro in the upcoming issues of V-Jump.
Ohh really? I though it was a rough draft from an actual soon to be released manga. Although I am glad that its fake, the story felt a bit inconsistent because Vegeta clothes are suppost to be different.

I liked Vegeta's clothes in that doujinshi :3
But Vegeta's clothes shouldn't be the only thing that makes you think its fake xD

At what level should we place Freeza's soldiers? We know that Gohan and Kuririn at 1,500 took out two Freeza soldiers with relative ease. I'm asking because I find it hard to believe that Roshi could manage to beat some, without any training at all. Bulma is more believable since Gero can build androids stronger than Freeza, she can manage something with a few hundreds or thousands of units in battle power.

They likely vary in strength. I doubt Akira Toriyama intended on any of Freeza's goons to be anything special. Appule, for example, isn't sitting any higher than 2000, IMO.

I'm expecting either some kind of power up or basically Roshi just continued to train over the years... or we're overestimating Freeza's henchman.

If they're that weak it makes you wonder why Piccolo couldn't just do another explosive wave and kill them all in one go. If it also gets that serious that Gohan has to turn into a Super Saiyan then why is Roshi even there?

This. Even a power level of 1500 might be more than the vast majority. When you consider how many troops there must be in Freeza's army and then consider how few he took to Namek, it could be that way. Surely he took his best and most useful even in terms of basic goons. There could be thousands upon thousands of guys in Freeza's army that are simply in the hundreds.

It's also possible that Roshi powered up a bit, if not too much.

That's a good question. Couldn't there be some really strong ones with a load of super weak guys along with them? I'll need to check the trailer again, but it might even be out of sequence. Maybe there is a fight with the goons in which Roshi does a Kamehameha on a few and then Gohan just decides "screw this" and blows them all away in one shot. We don't really know how that sequence plays out in the movie. It could go all sorts of ways.

I'm assuming Gohan and Piccolo are taking care of Sorbet and Tagoma.

It's mysteries like these that make me put stock in MagicBox's (I thought it was MagicBox's, could be wrong.) wish re-written universe 7 theory.

This was Trailer 2 for Battle Of Gods. Given this, we can hopefully assume that Trailer 2 for Fukkatsu No F will contain just as many scenes from the film.

Yeah, I sort of assume the nameless goons Freeza had with him on Namek were the best nameless goons he had. They're personally accompanying him after all, and Namekians apparently had a reputation for being super-strong (even Vegeta had heard of him). Then those guys all get killed, so when Mecha-Freeza attacks Earth he brings all his second-best nameless goons...who then proceed to get killed by Trunks. At this point, Freeza might be scraping the bottom of the barrel as far as nameless goons go. Though I guess they have had about 20 years to raise the next generation of goons.

The other thing is that it's easy to think "oh, even the Saibaimen were at 1,200, so any random Freeza goon must be at least that strong". But really, if Freeza was positively swimming in random goons over 1,000, why would he go through all the trouble of creating bio-engineered life-forms at that level? Presumably that's a fairly significant investment of resources creating those guys. I guess they're conveniently portable and maybe they don't need to eat, but they're also barely sentient, so overall a random goon of the same strength would probably be much more useful. Seems to me then that the big draw of the Saibaimen would have to be that they're far stronger than the average Freeza goon. Which fits with them being roughly on par with Raditz. Raditz may be weak by Saiyan standards, but the whole idea with the Saiyans is that they're an entire race of super-strong guys, which is why Freeza valued them as allies despite them being unruly and insubordinate. Hard to imagine him putting up with the Saiyans for so long if a random Saiyan goon isn't any stronger than a random goon of any other species. And the random goons Freeza took to Namek were apparently in that same general area of strength (laughing at the young Namekians for having battle powers of "only" 1,000, but then all getting wiped out in a minute when the Namekians powered up to 3,000), which fits the idea of them being top-shelf random goons.

So yeah, if we assume all the Grade A goons are dead by this point, it's not totally crazy to think the massive Freeza Army attacking Earth in the movie consists mainly of people Kame-sennin could put up a fight against. Though I guess that raises the question of why they don't just plant a gazillion Saibaimen once they get to Earth. Maybe Saibaimen seeds are a limited resource, but it'd be a bit strange if we don't see them use some in this movie.

That the despair wish rewrites the history of Universe 7 starting from sometime in or directly after the Freeza arc and affects everyone but those on Beerus' planet due to either the location, properties of, or intervention by Whis to protect Beerus's planet when he realizes something bad is about to happen. Gokû, Vegeta, Beerus, and Whis as a result are the only main characters who recall the original version of Universe 7.

In the changed Uni 7, characters have never met and as a result others haven't been born, or the circumstances that resulted in those births didn't happen, so Vegeta's kids are wiped from existence and so has his relationship with Bulma (hence motive for Vegeta wanting revenge on Freeza. Also awkward and heartbreaking moments for him with Bulma). Gokû loses Goten. It explains away why 18 is missing (never met Kuririn, or maybe a cameo of her being one of the criminals cop!Kuririn arrests). Gohan also loses his family, but doesn't remember. That's why no Videl or Mr. Satan. Buu doesn't happen or happened differently, so no Buu either.

Somehow the status quo is either restored at the end, or we get a cliffhanger if they're feeling brave and status quo is back end of next movie.

The wish would be more complex that Freeza revival and everything takes place in an alternate universe.
That would explain Krillin cop, Roshi new look and still fighting etc...
Goku and Vegeta wouldn't be affected though.

Note that Goku at 408 wasn't considered COMPLETELY useless to Raditz, Nappa, and Vegeta. Also note that Gohan with a power level of 1,500 one-shotted what should be an above average goon. The Namek goons seem to vary between 1,000 at best (the ones Krillin and Gohan pwned) to nearly 3,000 (Appule), and they should probably be the best of the best.

Also, Roshi is in his buff form in the previews. His buff form at the 21st Budokai was strong enough for him to output power on par with BOZ Piccolo (blowing up the moon). He has gotten many, many times stronger since the 21st Budokai. Assuming the boost is proportional, then even BOZ Roshi should be able to seriously mess up sub-Raditz level guys. Well, if they stand still. Perhaps he trained his buff form after the Saiyan arc so it could actually be used in combat, rather than being limited to firing one specific attack to destroy giant, stationary objects?

None of this explains why Gohan, Piccolo, and Krillin are being demeaned and forced to fight sub-Raditz-tier guys, though. Especially since Gohan apparently needs to go Super Saiyan. This is just embarrassing for them, even Krillin. Friggin' Yamcha should be able to smack down that entire "army" at this point.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Holy shit. That's actually a really good theory.

Now that kind of theory would make for an epic movie.

I'm really pulling for that to be the answer because of how interesting I find it and how it could potentially explain the weirdness on the poster along with the secretiveness of the news and Torishima's approval.

I dunno why, but I'm still not sure I like the idea of an alternate universe thing. I...I really don't know why. The way it's described has lots of potential to be good, it's the kind of thing that we've never had in the series before, it still doesn't mean the 'other universes' are alternate at all. I just...I dunno.

The only thing I can figure out is that I still want to see something out of the rest of the cast that this would end up taking away (Android 18, Mr. Satan, Buu, Goten, Trunks, the newly arrived Pan, etc.), so I guess there's that.

I am really hoping that the changed history theory proves to be true as well. It's known that there is more going on than just Frieza being revived, and I can't think of any other theory that would add THAT level of interest to the plot.
