Still pissed that the characters' attacks are divided by eras. I wanted a Ultimate Gohan with his Blue Outfit and a Masenko :( Liking these breakdowns so far tho.

Me and my brother just got a PS4.

So gonna be playing this game on day one.

For me there are two things really letting the game down at the moment. The 'look' of combat (from bad hitbox detection in the clashes to the getting stuck in falling animation at the top of the level) and the sound effects. The blocking sound, normal ki blasts sounding like you got hit by a heavy melee attack, no sound when you recover off the ground by pressing jump at the correct time. And Trunks saying "HEYYY" when you talk to him! What were they thinking with that!

Other then that game is great fun. I think the perfect word to describe it would be "unpolished". Theres just a bunch of little things that are annoying me that don't quite look up to standard for a complete game. Mouths not moving during most cutscenes is also another issue. I can understand the dub not matching the mouth flaps, but at least make the mouths move.

This was probably intentional. From what I've noticed. Anime games with heavy emphasis on the story have two types of cutscenes: Fully animated cutscenes (i.e. Goku going Super Saiyan, the Cell Games beam struggles, etc.) and "Tenkaichi-style" cutscenes, where the characters barely move (i.e. any cutscene from Storm 3 that had a text bubble instead of the strip at the bottom). I doubt they had the budget to animate everything.

I'm legitimately confused why people are so irritated about Majin Vegeta not being in the game. The costume he was in is there, and during a fight, guess what? You can't see the tiny M on his forehead!

Its not good enough to me Shinin, not in this day and age. This isn't the old days where a drawing was good enough like in Budokai 3.You can't have half the cutscenes with no mouth moving and then the other half just normal. Like I said even if it wasn't perfect, it would be much better than no mouth movements at all.

I have to disagree. People gave Spike so much shit for the lazy lip flaps. If Dimps did it and it wasn't perfect, the'd have gotten bitched at too and wonder why they bothered if they were going to half-ass it. It's really not worth it either when you look at all the other content we've gotten in the short development cycle. If they had worked on adding in mouth movements to the other half of the cutscenes, we probably would have gotten a smaller chunk of content (which even those of us who are happy with the game are still slightly bitching about).

Isn't it not so much that the lip flaps are lazy, but the previous and current gen just makes it much more difficult to sync? I remember being told that at one stage. Might have just been someone making excuses though.

I honestly don't think Spike tried to hard. It was basically just the mouth moving up and down in one of two basic positions: talking size or yelling size.
