In BOG he went through 3 forms while fighting Beerus but didn't notice cause there was no difference in his power.

That's not true, no. If that were the case, there would have been no reason for him to turn Super Saiyan, or for him to turn back into Super Saiyan God.sintzu wrote:He can but it doesn't make him any stronger.FutureGohanSSJ2 wrote:

And even Toriyama said we'd likely see Super Saiyan 1 again, just not 2 or 3.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
I'd bet we still have a chance of seeing ssjg from Gokû in F, what with that magenta lightning behind him; and the idea of "well he's got to train it to figure out more about it/how to use it and he still didn't know exactly what he did at the end of BOG when he jumped back into it". I'd think there's still a chance of ssj1 as well, if only because it was in the early preview images that are also being used on the dragonball2015 website. I'm not convinced either of those two forms are gone from use yet.
Ssj2 and 3 are probably gone though. I'll miss 2's electricity sparks, but I won't miss 3's eyebrow-less eyebrows (though I will miss that crazy ssj3 hair).

If only this newly Super Saiyan mastered form got sparks...

He didn't know he did,When Beerus told him he went back to normal he was surprised which means there isn't a difference in power between the 3 forms he used.FutureGohanSSJ2 wrote:

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
I dunno why everyone seems so worried about Goku's apparent lack of need for Super Saiyan, as if history tells us anything (see Gohan for details), it's that he'll probably start using it again eventually - probably without any sort of explanation.
The thing is, the Super Saiyan form carries a lot of brand power for Toei, and it's a visual aesthetic which is synonymous with Dragonball, and therefore very important for marketing and brand identification. Even if the form is superseded by simply not transforming at all from a narrative perspective, it's never going to disappear from the annuls of Dragonball history, it's never going to be absent from marketing materials, and it's always going to be a huge part of wider media such as games or merchandise.
Just sit back and enjoy the ride, let's see where Toriyama's narrative actually goes with this in the film before crying foul over it.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
I've seen the movie. And no, Goku was losing power. Very steadily, but he was. After he lost the God form and went back to Base, he still had /some/ fight left but not much. So he got pissed and "powered up" and he didn't even realize he went Super Saiyan. Going Super Saiyan helped maintain that God Form power for a while longer. And then there was him going God at the end, too. They're not all the same power, or else going Super Saiyan and/or Super Saiyan God would be nothing more than a waste of energy, but that clearly wasn't the case. Goku simply just didn't notice. Whether that was due to him being lost in the fight or his anger, whichever. He just didn't notice.sintzu wrote:He didn't know he did,When Beerus told him he went back to normal he was surprised which means there isn't a difference in power between the 3 forms he used.FutureGohanSSJ2 wrote:

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
As far as I know though, there's still no solid source for the "Goku doesn't go Super Saiyan in the movie" idea beyond reports from Jump Festa attendees. The source that the Kanzenshuu news post links to for the Jump Festa tidbits is simply some Japanese guy on 2chan writing "Goku doesn't become Super Saiyan" as part of a brief list of news on the upcoming movie mentioned at Jump Festa. It's the best we've got...but obviously it's not great. We don't know what this 2chan person is basing that statement on. Then we've got another random Japanese person who was at Jump Festa, and wrote out from memory the lines Nozawa and Nakao read. That's where we got Freeza asking Goku if he'll be OK fighting without becoming Super Saiyan, and Goku responding that now he no longer needs to. It's entirely possibly that Random Japanese Person A's categorical statement that Goku doesn't become a Super Saiyan in the movie is based solely on the dialogue read by Nozawa and Nakao, the very same lines which according to Random Japanese Person B's recollection really only seem to establish that Goku doesn't think he needs Super Saiyan anymore (at least not to fight Freeza). So whose memory is most accurate, A/B/both/neither? We're really not in a position to say, not until we get more information.sintzu wrote:Give me a few minutes to find it just to be sure.FutureGohanSSJ2 wrote:Not true. Thanks for the heads up but based on how BOG ended I won't be surprised if he doesn't transform.Herms wrote:We're really not in a position to say, not until we get more information.

I thought King Cold's existence was a secret. Only a few people knew about him.DragonBoxZTheMovies wrote:Y'know, I can't help but wonder what sort of potential this movie would've had if Sorbet and Tagoma had chosen to revive King Cold. But on the movie at hand, I really hope that Freeza has an actual plan this time, rather than just train and then launch an all-out assault on Earth. Who knows, maybe he collects the Dragon Balls again and revives his father.

He was supposed to be an unknown figure in the organization, but you know modern Toriyama; the facts, they are a changin'. So I wouldn't really be surprised if that changed.Marco Polo wrote:I thought King Cold's existence was a secret. Only a few people knew about him.

What's this about Gohan explaining him turning Super Saiyan?

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
I don't think he says why he's going Super Saiyan instead of Ultimate, but he does mention something about using it in general. According to Google, it's something about still being a Super Saiyan or still getting used to the form, but needing to take action because Freeza has a 1000 soldiers.
Here's the original text for someone more adept to look at, or the guys here at Kanzenshuu will get to it when they have time:
そうですね・・まだ超サイヤ人にはなれると思うんですが……
今回はみんなの力を総動員しないと1000人のフリーザ軍には勝てませんからね!
BTW, that picture of Freeza trying to pull himself back together, as funny as it is, kinda makes the whole "inconsistency" a little worse to me. The idea of the organic (and mechanical) fibers trying to reconnect? Why not do that on Namek when you were only in 3 pieces? xD

Aaaaaaaah, I can't take it anymore, I need to read it. Viz please
Regarding Sumitomo, I hope he brought his all to this. He's very inconsistent in terms of the quality of his tracks with Kai, and even with BoG, I don't think it competed with Kikuchi's or even Yamamoto's tracks.

I think that's still the machinery pulling itself together, it's just inside and under the skinTheDevilsCorpse wrote:BTW, that picture of Freeza trying to pull himself back together, as funny as it is, kinda makes the whole "inconsistency" a little worse to me. Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
that's why I think Freeza need to have a special ki to beat Goku if Goku is using God ki,sintzu wrote:He can but it doesn't make him any stronger.FutureGohanSSJ2 wrote:

Because of what I understand God Ki is different and can't be countered with normal Ki even if you get stronger like fusion it makes no differents. Maybe Goku doesn't have full control over God ki, and that's why he doesn't turn SSJ because it's part of the training even when fighting Freeza he is not allowed to turn SSJ

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Not sure I really buy his mechanical parts functioning like Mecha Coola's, but I suppose it's possible. I wasn't talking about him being revived in pieces being the inconsistency though. That's fine. The problem is that he apparently has a body down in hell, and this body, or at least his head, was in one piece while inside the pod. Goku was given his body in the afterlife, but he didn't suddenly regain Piccolo's Makankosappo damage through his torso when revived for the Saiyan battle.worldmonsters wrote:I think that's still the machinery pulling itself together, it's just inside and under the skinAnyway, I don't think this is inconsistent. Porunga said he put Krillin back together again just before he was revived, right? Besides, if Freeza COULD pull this shit off, but he wasn't able to because Trunks blasted him kaput, then Freeza was, at the point of being sliced into small parts, still technically alive. What killed him was the blast. So Shenron revived him to that point. This to me seems like the most logical explanation, right?
Not saying it will be a problem in the film, but for now we don't have an explanation or anything. Just a picture of what appeared to be his body in a pod, it disappears when the wish is made, he revives in one piece and then falls apart.
Looking back at it again though, he doesn't have a halo. Curious...
