Not that I'm defending Minus (though I don't have near the problem with it that most do), but...him actively sending his son to Earth to get him out of harm's way doesn't automatically make him attentive. Heck, even Gine had just stored him in a pod thingie while he grew. I don't think I'd call that particularly 'attentive' on either of their parts.

But Radditz specifically states that Saiyans had a habit of sending weak offsrping to weak planets to fend off by themselves, and he states that Goku was one of them. Minus doesn't fit very well.

Freeza listens to the scouter conversations, as established at the start of DB- (and the series itself). So Raditz knows what Bardock and Gine were able to tell him, which obviously wasn't going to be "Hey, we think Freeza's going to kill us all, so we sent your brother away to keep him safe."

Radditz had no idea of what Freeza did because, if he did, he would have told Vegeta, his rightful monarch, and Vegeta didn't know that. Also, if they were all aware that Freeza was spying on them, Vegeta shouldn't have been surprised to learn that Freeza had listened to them and was on his way to Namek.

I'm not saying Vegeta knew back then, he was a kid. And there could be any number of reasons for why he didn't figure it out or was surprised at that moment, including the fact that maybe he was just shocked that Freeza was listening to that specific conversation. Or maybe he was so used to that being the norm that he forgot to connect the dots. Even Bardock's comrade seemed to have an "Oh, right!" moment when Bardock told him to take his scouter off before talking about Freeza.

But as for Raditz, that's kind of the point. Bardock and Gine say they'll contact Raditz, and that conversation probably went "Hey. Your brother Kakarotto was sent off as an infiltrator." Like I said, they obviously couldn't tell Radtiz their true intentions due to Freeza listening in. They told him what they were able to: that he wasn't on the planet anymore.

They could have told others. Besides if Bardock has enough balls to fight Freeza 1v1 against all those minions. He could have told Raditz. Revolt I say!
