Who here has enjoyed the worst games of the franchise?

Oh, I know I did.

As a kid, I enjoyed Final Bout, Sagas, and Taiketsu. Man, I remember the good ol' GBA days. Playing GBA on the bus to school and road vacation trips. Also the soundtrack was tight! It was one of my most favorite GBA games, next to LOG2, Tony Hawk Pro Skater(forgot which one) and Pokemon Ruby and Saaphire.

Too bad I realized how bad it is now, but the music still sticks out.

I enjoyed Sagas but for the same reasons everyone trashed it. I love doing the combo spam exploit, the PS1 graphics, and how the characters look like they're doing jumping jacks while getting hit.

I also remember enjoying UB22 as a kid. Sure it sucked big, hairy dragonballz but it was Dragon Ball and I'd eat up anything Dragon Ball then.

Cell was a pain in the ass in that game. Had a hard time transforming to SSJ2 while he's running towards me. but I always considered Cell the "Goro" of the game series, cuz he's more harder to beat than Kid Buu.

Plus, SSJ2 Gohan in that game was FAST. AS. FUCK!

I enjoyed Sagas for what it was, though it was definitely nowhere near as good as I'd hoped it was. Nowadays I try to pop it in about once every few years and give it a quick play-through just for the hell of it. Some of my favorite glitches are when Nappa somehow attaches to my character and just beats the shit out of him from there, when Ginyu will somehow turn invisible and still be able to hit me but I can never find him, and when no matter how long I hold off second form Freeza, nobody ever comes to help so I can get to the next part of the fight.

Taiketsu though? Arrrggghhh. I think at one point in time I did have a fully unlocked roster and bonuses and all of that, and I kind of want to do that again someday (DBZ games are pretty much the only ones where I feel like I want to try and unlock/achieve everything), but...Taiketsu...arrgggghhhhhhhh.

I don't consider it nearly as bad as those two - though I do suck at it more probably - but I enjoyed Ultimate Battle 22 quite a bit as a kid too. It was a fun distraction until I finally got a PS2 when Budokai 2 came out. The ability to level up characters was pretty sweet too.

I definitely did. Ultimate Battle 22, Sagas, and Battle of Z are considered the worst of their generation and I actually liked all three.

+1 for Battle of Z. It is incredibely fun if you're playing it with friends/decent people.

I always enjoyed the first Legacy of Goku game as a kid and remain very fond of it and it's soundtrack. I always knew LOG2 was better of course but I never realized there was so much hate for the first one until around 2008 when I stumbled apon this video (which had me rolling in laughter) as well as people on forums saying how terrible it was.

Besides that I also enjoyed UB22 since it was fun to play with friends at the time as well as Final Bout. I haven't played those games since 2004 though so I imagine they're unbearable today.

I enjoyed Ultimate Tenkaichi for a while. It's actually ok in short bursts when playing with friends.

Legacy of Goku, the first one. When I played taiketsu, I liked it for a minute. I enjoyed all the Spike games of last gen. I liked Sagas too. I've played all the bad ones to be honest, and liked things about them.

Battle Of Z. It's better played online with friends and in very short bursts.

I still play Ultimate Battle 22/27, Final Bout and Legacy of Goku 1 fairly often and can still enjoy each of them despite their flaws. I haven't touched Taiketsu in like 10 years though, and pretty much regret buying Ultimate Tenkaichi even for £12. Didn't bother with Battle of Zzzz... despite being initially optimistic about it.

Never got to play Sagas as it never got a UK release sadly.

For as much as I hate on Final Bout, it has some morbid charm to it that makes me play it every once in a while.

I enjoyed UB 22 when I was a kid. Heck, it was the only DBZ game there was. I also enjoyed Final Bout, but only for a few days. After my brother and I finished it, I never really re-visisted it.

I enjoyed Dragonball Z: Sagas for exactly four days and then my kid!brain realized it was a terrible game. After I 100% completion'd it.

Ironically i seemed to have owned most of the "worst" Dragon Ball games, including UB22, LOG1 and Taikestsu. Honestly all three games were grueling chores to play. I never got to buy Sagas (they didn't sell it in my country) but i always thought it looked like a pretty cool game.

I'm another who played and loved LoG 1. I got excited everytime I popped it into my GBA.

LoG1 did cover the Saiyan saga fairly well but the gameplay was lacking, thankfully this was improved greatly for it's two sequels. Taiketsu was... a mess. In my opinion it was a lot worse than all of the butoden games combined. DBZ Sagas was one I enjoyed actually, it had problems sure but later games like Xenoverse prove that multi-character missions can be fun (co-op too). Finally there was DBGT Transformation on Gameboy Advance. It had plenty of characters, interesting enemies and bosses and plenty of unlockables too!

I definitely enjoyed Ultimate Battle 22 and Final Bout back in the day, though. Aside from Legends, those were my only other choices for DBZ games.

I will admit; back when I 1st got Sagas, Final Bout, & UB22 I was disappointed. Now for some reason I can enjoy the hell out of them. I dunno why, but I can sit down and play them for hours on end. I went out and got Transformation because I heard it was bad and I love that one too. I'm on the lookout for a reasonably priced copy of Taiketsu cuz I just think I'll wind up liking that as well, as bad as that is to say.
