We raced to see if I could get 1 Dragon Ball before he could get 2. He got 2, wished for Shocking Death Ball, then got 2 more before I got 1. It was a horrible time, albeit funny. I really hate the RNG.
I started to notice this too as I was trying to grind the one mission mentioned earlier for Dragon Balls. One time I beat the Time Patroller and didn't get squat, and then a bunch of times after that he wouldn't even show up, even though I was beating Freeza in well under a minute.

Does going into PQs without original characters as back up improve your chances of getting the Z rank? I got the Z rank the first time I cleared Saiyan Blood, where you're forced to just use Raditz and your character, now running with two Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta's as back up I only get B - S ranks.

Okay, I'm trying to get the game going and play in what I assume offline mode is (that's what single lobby is, right?), but even after telling me the servers are down, it just sits there and loads...seriously, what gives? Why do I need to be connected to play that mode and do stuff on my own even?

EDIT: FINALLY got it to connect. Still would like to know what gives though.

The servers are getting absolutely hammered. It's almost a given with big MMOs but I guess since this only has MMO aspects, they severely underestimated how many people were going to be playing. I just gave up trying to get online and blocked the game in my firewall so it wouldn't even try.

I'm sure it'll die down in the next few days. I hope.

Is that the only way to play the game that's technically offline is making sure your PS3 isn't currently connected to the net? I had just assumed that Single Lobby was the offline mode. :?

That would seem to be the case. Every time I went to play the single player, it would try to connect to the servers and fail. Always got stuck in an endless loop of connecting :(

I have the PS3 version and no I don't think xenoverse is cross platform.

Xenoverse log, Day One. Managed to complete all PQ's from the first 3 ranks, and beat the story up to the end of the Cell Games. Loving this game so far.

I'm stuck in the secret saga where you and Bardock have to fight off Freeza and his henchmen, Jesus christ, I cannot get through this one. Pull yourself together, Bardock! The dude just keeps on dying all the god damn time. I have a feeling that I gotta make my character stronger now to get through this one.

My teaching with Cell is complete, he taught me the Solar Kamehameha (I can't exactly remember the name but I think it's that) and I freaking love the move. I don't even want to get another teacher, Cell is just too good.

Waaay better than Raging Blast 2. This game is a masterpiece. :D
"There are many types of monsters that scare me: Monsters who cause troubles without showing themselves, monsters who abduct children, monsters who devour dreams, monsters who suck blood… and then, monsters who tell nothing but lies. Lying monsters are a real nuisance: They are much more cunning than others: They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart; they eat even though they’ve never experienced hunger; they study even though they have no interest in academics; they seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such monsters, I would likely be eaten by them… because in truth, I am that monster."

MUCH much better. On par with BT3 but still below Budokai 3 for me.

Not that being better than any of the Raging Blast games is particularly hard to accomplish, anyways.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Well I liked Raging Blast 2, such a shame that didn't make a 3rd installament

But nice, I will buy Xenoverse then... Hope they make a sequel with far more characters

Okay, either Time Patrollers popping into missions are hit or miss (even when they're listed in the mission specifications) or it depends on if there's very many people in your hub city at the moment, cuz I'm not getting them very often at all in this mission anymore. Grr. I just need three more Dragon Balls dammit!

EDIT: Just restarted the game and got some people showing up in the hub, and what do you know, I get a Time Patroller in the mission. I think the two things are definitely tied together. Which is kind of a pain.

Have the game, enjoying it, then unlock online access. I take it there's no way to make the game not "always online"? I bought a fighter-RPG with cooperative elements, Dimps, not an MMO. Don't act as if I did.

EDIT: Also, stupid question that always happens with Dimps games with stats: what does Stamina do? I'm a human and a Z-Soul is telling me its one of my natural strengths.

I'm trying to be patient, but come on. They must only have a quarter of the servers they need for this game to function! Did they not have confidence in this game? Why else buy 75% fewer servers than you need? I really hope this gets fixed soon...
