Final Bout has always been my favorite Dragon Ball game. The newer ones are ok, but I like the more arcadey feel of Final Bout.

It's also like the show in that it takes forever to fire a special attack.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Never have I played a game that gave me a headache until today. Fuck this game and the $12 I spent on it.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

At least the English voice acting is fun to laugh at. It's always strange and cool to see other voice actors outside of Funimation and Ocean do English voices on DBZ characters. I've been told that Steven Blum said that he does not remember working on Final Bout. I guess it was so long ago that he forgot or he chooses not to remember it  .

It isn't all bad. Once you accept the game for what it is it becomes pretty fun. The basic melee attacks are really slow but the special combo moves are considerably faster. And it's always a fun challenge unlocking SS4 Goku the proper way by beating the game on hard with no continues and then getting the alternate end credits with the entire cast including the unlockable characters. Plus the score and intro are badass.

Nope, I came at it with very low expectations given it's rep and it managed to shatter even those low as hell expectations. It's the first time when playing a game ever gave me a headache and you have to suck really bad to give me a headache.

Final bout was the first db game I ever played with my italian cousin (I speak french).
It was during the holydays and I was discovering dragon ball for the first time without understanding anything.
I had just watched some db italian episode on tv the previous days. The first scene ever I saw from dragon ball was the end of the fight with Goku oozaru vs Jackie choun In a ice cream shop and I fell in love.
Before that, I only knew dragon ball because of the cards.

It was more than 10 years ago.

Final Bout is better than many Dragon Ball games nowadays. Such a classic, epic fighting game. Its theme is one of the best I have ever heard in the Dragon Ball franchise. Or course, I am telling about the japanese version, the english is indeed terrible, but the japanese... You couldn't spent better your money.
