Or it's Toei reusing their ugly fire aura from Battle of Gods.

This new transformation met my expectations. I KNEW the new transformation would be as similar to his regular one as possible (i.e. mostly a recolor). I don't hate it. I don't love it. That said, I wish they chose platinum instead of gold.

I really hope people didn't actually think Toriyama was going to go over-the-top and give him something like Cooler's one. >_>

Yeah, it's definitely entirely CG. Not surprising given the time frame and the fact they're shoving this thing into 3D for cinemas.

That's the one thing from these screenshots that has actively lowered my expectations.

The only CG that was disturbing in all of BOG was Beerus and Goku in the desert.
The rest was okay and looked natural.

And it's possible, since the movie is shown in 3D for cinemas, that ALL of it was made in CG for this version, and drawn on top of the CG rendering for the 2D version.

I thought that too. But the problem to me is the color scheme.
Couldn't they came up with something better than purple and gold?! If they wanted to used gold so bad, they could choose another second color.

No, the actual design is about what I expected. Though this certainly counts as over-the-top as well, just at the other end of the spectrum from Coola's. Those colors are garish.

Oh god I completely forgot about the 3D, this is worrying. I hope its like BoG where we only had the few instances of CGI, but something tells me not.

I'd actually prefer if Toyotato takes over instead of Naho. I know you won't like to hear this ( ) but the less they ruin Bardock's character, the better.

They who? The only one that ruined Bardock's character was Akira Toriyama himself.

In Dragon Ball Online, they gave Bardock a worth plot.
In Episode of Bardock, she gave Bardock a little of glorious.
In Victory Mission, he gave a scene with Bardock using Super Saiyan 2 to fight.
In Minus... What did the author gave him other than change his design for nothing?

Sorry, but... Ooishi and Toytaro truly became better than Akira.

I think I'd like the design more if the limbs were purple. But then, that would basically be Cooler but with gold instead of white.

This new form is really... Odd. Its just the colour scheme, quite a bad mix. I don't hate it though but I really don't like it for now.

Me too. I actually somewhat like the new design, mostly because it's not just a repeat of Cooler's second form. But that final screen confirming they haven't learned their lesson about how awful modeling the characters in 3d is a serious buzz kill. I actually choked on my drink the first time that came up in BoG because of how bad it looked

So, can we confirm these are actually legit or not? Given the timestamps, they must have aired on TV. Anyone know what show? Got a recording of it? Harder to fake animation than it is to fake an image.

Well, seems real. But I thought this was Dragon Ball not Saint Seiya.
Freeza seems like a Gold Saint.

Saint Seiya had both turning Gold and a God form as transformations before Goku went SSJ in the manga, so take that as you will:
