Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

Where his mind was to think gold and purple could possibly hang around?
Because gold and purple have been associated for centuries, maybe? They are the colors of royalty. Those colors have been widely KNOWN to be a good match for a long time, a combination that is widely spread.
Plus purple is Freezer's theme color, so if you load him with gold, the least you can do is keep purple as the secondary color.

Maybe he did 2 slaps, so double the Vegeta rage boost. Freeza used the same concept on his mooks, hence why they're so powerful now. Super Saiyan Freeza slapped their wives, hence Piccolo and the other getting demolished. Slapping wives gives super power.
Maybe that was Frieza's training regime. Slapping people's wives for 4 months.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super
Pocket Monster is more mainstream than Dragon Ball.
Not the anime specifically it isn't.
Given it has continued running internationally with new episodes longer than Dragon Ball has and has had the production of those new episodes altered to better suit international tastes, I would venture to say that it is indeed more popular.

Can someone please beat the shit outta Video? Tired of how Gohan is misused.

Because it takes more effort to search "Super Saiyan God" in youtube than it does to dig up a picture of a bad still shot?

Nice history, but still it is not enough to fit well on Freeza's design.

I guess I was wrong about Super Mook Gods being a thing. Instead Freeza tied his minions to a chair and constantly wailed on their loved ones. They got millions of times stronger and tapped into their hidden rage.
Freeza through training four months discovered he was a mutated saiyan, and so achieved Super Saiyan form.

I find everyone I like starts to become really bad. I like Goku and his morality has become questionable. I like Gohan, but he's a jobber now. I like Piccolo, and he doesn't really do much. I like Sonic, but he's a total douche now. I like Tails, but they horribly nerfed him to stereotypical boy genius level. I like Knuckles, but now they write him as a complete idiot. I like Vegetto, and I fear if he returns somehow, then he might get worse. Why must everything I like get worse. Crap will Xenoverse get worse cause I really like it. Is that why the servers are annoying as well as the RNG.

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.

Of course it's longer than Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball ended whereas Pocket Monster doesn't seem to know when to stop.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I'm just about done with the concept of reboots and making shows that were products of their time and impactful "new and sexy" and in line with modern tastes and sensibilities. Let stuff stay in their era and give today's kids their own shit to watch.
I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

They shouldn't have put some crappy girly pop song in there at all.
I remember they used to sell Naruto trading cards in Dollar tree a couple years back.
Naruto-1
One Piece-0 Dragon ball-2
Dragon Ball had an extremely popular trading cards collection series back at the days (even got a GBA version of it like someone else said), and has toys sold at GameStop.

Yes, considering that the image I posted in response to him had been posted just a few pages back in this very topic and so, I just copied it. And the other user who answered him, with a different image from the same scene, linked to a image album, presumably his own, so, yes, it probably was much easier for him to do that than go search for a video with that scene. But I guess we should have, just to satisfy you... Even though the user that we are responding to has already seen the movie and can search for a video of the scene we refereed him to himself if he really wants to take a second look at the CGI.

So asking someone to provide evidence when they say somebody else is wrong is too much to ask for now?

Longer running =/= More mainstream.
Whereas both BoG and RoF are going to be released in theatres across the world due to it's popularity the Pokemon movies are not, they are released in a few Asian markets because it's popularity has long since faded.
DBZ Kai repeats are getting twice the ratings almost that brand new Pokemon episodes are getting because it's just still popular.

Evidence of what? Being bad or good? That is a matter of opinion. He didn't ask if Goku's hair was red or blue as a SSJG. He asked why people didn't like the CGI in the movie. And people gave him an image from a scene as an example on why they have that opinion. The end.
Or it should have been the end, but apparently, if someone doesn't go out of their way to fill their posts with examples and explanations with "evidence" for their subjective opinion, you are there to criticize them.
