Oh and I was thinking earlier, you know how DC are doing Justice League Part One followed by Part Two the year after and Marvel are doing Avengers Infinity War Part One followed by a Part Two the year after?

I think they could something like that with DBZ and have a bigger and more eventful story split over two movies released only a year apart.

But that doesn't make sense. The whole point of BOG was that Goku needed to become a God so that he could have the power to battle another God, Beerus. Hence the name "Super Saiyan God" Freeza's not looking to become a God. He just wants become the strongest in the universe again and get revenge for his death.

I think some people forget that Freeza's transformations suppressed his power. His final form is his natural one. It makes sense for his new power up to be a slight augmentation of his natural form, rather than something more convoluted like Cooler's.

I was expecting some dumb overdesigned monster form or something. Less is more. Frieza basically ripping off super saiyan is stupid but series has always been stupid, People should be embracing it.

You know, it's not the logic that bothers me. It's the fact that you can use that asspull on every single villain now. "What if Cell trained? Golden SSJ3 Perfect Cell! Wait...why didn't Imperfect Cell just train instead of chasing androids?!" "What if Kid Buu trained? Uub has so much potential!" "What if Broly trained!? SSJ5000 Demi-God Prime!"

That's what bugs me about not making his means of attaining this new form unique to himself.

Additionally, it also cheapens the entire concept of training, which is one of the things I love most about this series. Goku started as a low level saiyan, but his training and dedication through the YEARS ascended him to levels nobody ever dreamed of achieving--all through hard work and a passion for fighting. That's kind of the point of the rivalry between him and Vegeta. Vegeta was born an elite with greater power (i.e. a PRODIGY among his kind), but in the end, it didn't matter, and no matter how much Vegeta trained, he never managed to close the gap. Frieza's little prodigy stint completely goes against that.

That's fine, but if he's fighting Goku and he thinks his 4 months of training can make him surpass Beerus's power, then his power is comparable to that of a God's then, especially since he beats Goku from what we see in the trailer. Golden Freeza is like calling Super Saiyan "Gold Saiyan" or calling Kaioken "Red ki boost" or something like that. The name doesn't have to be God Freeza necessarily since we don't know if his transformation has anything to do with godly ki but naming it after a color is just weird. Imo that is.

Keep in mind that Freeza didn't cover that huge gap simply through training, it was training PLUS unlocking a new transformation. So training for four months was enough to amp the power of his fourth form to somewhere around Boo or something, then transforming on top of that adds even more power.

I mean I don't want to undermine the ridiculous gap between current Z-Fighters and Namek arc Freeza, but it all depends on how it's presented in the film IMO. There have been larger power boosts over shorter time periods.

Ha, that wacky Roshi. Sexual assault in a children's cartoon is so funny! Also, lol @ the bolded. One, those troops aren't a threat considering how Raditz was considered top-class among them (except for Giant Red Bull Man, who is only rivaled by Lord Appule and Mr. Satan). The strongest guy around, their leader's personal guard, is weaker than friggin' Zarbon, and characters much, much weaker than even Krillin have taken down groups of people much stronger than Zarbon with contemptuous ease. Two, even if they were a threat, what would he do about it, if they could even remotely threaten Mr. Buu, Gohan, Piccolo, or even Krillin?

Since I haven't said it before (I think), I may as well do so now. I don't like the idea of the henchmen army. Not only because it makes zero sense from an in-universe strength-related standpoint, but also because it is meaningless to the story. Dragon Ball has ALWAYS worked on the logic of "if you're too weak, don't even bother showing up, even in scores". That's been the justification for why they don't team up on the villains since at least the Daimao arc. There's no real point in letting Krillin and Tenshinhan have their little moments against the grunts, since these grunts can easily be dispatched at once with a single wave of the hand by Goku.

Obviously, his armor is personally customized. He spends over 200 Space Dollars a year to attend the Space Gym for several hours per week. He'll be damned if he's going to let his investment go unnoticed.

My personal theories about the planet exploding are:

- It's a flashback to planet Vegeta being destroyed

- It's the planet Freeza was training on which he destroys once he's done

Also, I don't get why people are saying that Freeza's new form should be like Cooler's 5th form. Toriyama has made it pretty obvious that he doesn't consider the pre-BoG movies canon, and in Toriyama's continuity Cooler never existed. He's free to make a new form look any way he wants.
