Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

To be honest i have a feeling goku and vegeta are going to both lose against Freeza. Heck we might even get a sequel but i would love if goku was the one that defeated Freeza once and for all with his SUPERMAN PLANET BENCHING, GALAXY SNEEZING STRENGTH! that he got from whis ofcourse

Stop...please. You make us look like we want Goku to be some monster destroyer. We don't want Gokupotence. That's boring. Is it so wrong Goku isn't the strongest guy ever? Goku sure doesn't care. The more foes stronger than him, the happier he is. It makes him excited.

When Goku becomes the strongest in the multiverse, he's going to hit a state of depression that will force him to reflect on the years he missed out on with his friends and family.

Gohan: Dad, I have work today.

Goku: Hey pal, you want to go fishing with your ol' man?

Goten: Sorry dad, I have a date today and some homework to catch up on later.

But you realize that Gokus original dream was to become the strongest martial artist in the world. The whole training that he went thru was so that he could win. If he loved losing so much what would be the whole motivation for him to train? Thats why i want goku to become the strongest character in the dragon ball verse, i want him to acheave his dream!

So, you know how there was that scanslation thing a while back saying Toriyama was drawing a manga, which would be handed out to those attended the movie?

Well, sorry to disappoint you, but it seems whoever did that translation didn't know what the heck they were doing. According to the blog, what's getting handed out is a book containing Toriyama's script for the movie, design sketches, explanations of things, etc. Not a manga. There's also going to be some DB Heroes card thingy. More details are available on the movie's official site.

Now, I haven't seen the original Japanese Jump page that those scanslator guys scanslated, so I can't really prove that it didn't say something about a manga, but I'm assuming they simply mistranslated it, because both Bulma's blog and the movie's official site talk about these nifty gifts for attendees without mentioning a manga, which would be a pretty gigantic omission if there was one. I suppose maybe the people at Jump screwed up, or maybe the people running the blog and movie website screwed up, but I think it's pretty safe to assume that the random internet scanslator guys are the ones who screwed up. But I guess we won't know 100% for sure until we get a picture of that original Japanese page. Unless it's already up somewhere and I'm just a lazy idiot who can't find things.

I've got Friday stuff to do right now, but I should manage to get a full translation of the blog post up later.

Well, I was thinking of a color I hadn't chosen for the major villains, and that's just the first one that came to mind. Plus, it makes him look...super! *laughs*

That image someone posted of how the trailer's scenes mirror the original bits from the Freeza arc make me think his reasoning for Freeza being gold are simply because he is mirroring the SSJ form. It's ironic too. Here's the pic:

What if it ends the same way for Goku, and in the end... he dies, tragically? Or what if Vegeta goes rebel and betrays his friends for good? What if Frieza truly wins in the end?

We really have no way to tell how this entire thing will end.

From what I've heard, One Piece is actually pretty popular over in Europe. The US seems to be one of the few places it didn't really catch on.

This isn't the Cell and Majin Buu arc Vegeta anymore. He doesn't have that much of a need to have his ego stroked.

This isn't the Cell and Majin Buu arc Vegeta anymore. He doesn't have that much of a need to have his ego stroked.

His reasons for wanting to go Majin were not because of his ego but rather because of a disillusionment with who he was. He had for so long spit upon someone like who he had become and felt a loss of identity. He knew he had changed but had trouble accepting it so he allowed for him to become Majin Vegeta in an attempt to feel what it was like again. After living through that moment he realized the mistake he had made and that he no longer was that person and who he was wasn't as fulfilling as he had hoped.

It's the same idea as a mid-life crisis where a married man who has changed into a family man misses what life was like when he was younger and single. He may go through some embarrassing moments trying to relive those days before he accepts that he has changed for the better.

In any case, you're right. He has no reason to do that AGAIN since he has already gone through it.

Vegeta has no reason to join with Freeza. Freeza or Vegeta aren't dumb enough to trust each other given the history between the two of them. Vegeta is betraying no-one in the movie.
