How is he generic?
If he was a canon DBZ villian he would pose a huge threat never seen before. His vast array of abilities makes him the most unique villain, instead of having your typical DBZ person that only knows how to throw around ki blasts kick and punch. He can send people through time transport people anywhere and other cool abilities.Demigra is far from generic

Yeah, like I said he is very powerful, but his personality is... nothing. The guy never said or did anything that was interesting, and I really really tried to like him, but the developers just didn't give him any personality. Seriously, I can't even think of an adjective that describes him. He was so boring. What was there to his personality? He was a demon god who wanted to rule the world because he's evil and the story ends there. Compare him to Freeza, Cell, or Buu who all had actual personalities and were characters with quirks and things to say about them. Goku and Cell just having a conversation before their fight was one of the most entertaining and interesting parts of that arc, if Goku and Demigra had a conversation, what would Demigra actually have to say? Again, can you tell me of an instance in the story where you were actually interested in what Demigra was doing?Saiyan007 wrote:@ZaZamPow

Jaco appears in FnF
Jaco's first official non-manga appearance was in Xenoverse I believe? WHAT IF Jaco mentioned Toki Kaioshin in FnF? This would be brilliant. I love Xenoverse's story actually, so it being kind-of canon would only make me happy.
It seems that Xenoverse's existence has some effects on Fukkatsu no F.

Re: Official Unofficial Xenoverse In-Universe Topic SPOILERS
I think it's so difficult to try and make strength comparisons between the Dragonball main-timeline continuity and Xenoverse for a multitude of different reasons, the main of which is that antagonist strength in Xenoverse is entirely ad-hoc and relational to where the player is in the game. I mean, let's be realistic - if we were going by strictly main-universe continuity, there's no way in hell that Future Trunks would be able to fight, and be on the victorious side, in a battle against Beerus and Whis, even if the sole purpose of the battle was just a test.
So far as Demigra being a God, what seems fairly obvious is that he has Godly Ki in the same fashion that Beerus and Whis do, as is explained when he is mystified as to how Goku was able to track him down. I especially liked how they handled Goku's post-God self, in that he comments on the fact that, as he was a God once, he has been altered for the experience. Having said that, the fact that he turns Super Saiyan 3 to fight Demigra implies that if the game-makers have factored in his absorbance of Godly powers, he is either so new to using them that he still as to rely on his previous Super Saiyan transformations like he does at the end of Battle of Gods, or that Demigra is so powerful that he has to somehow stack the power increase of Super Saiyan 3 on-top of his new base strength in order to battle him.
What's clear, though, is that Beerus and Whis are clearly top of the tree. It's outright stated more than once that Beerus could easily destroy Demigra, although admittedly, Demigra doesn't seem to pay much attention to him or be particularly concerned by the prospect, as is shown by the fact that he has no qualm in fighting both him and the 'Time Warrior' at the same time, who at this stage has already proven to be at least on par with Beerus by giving him a good fight whilst Demigra tried to control him.

And I would love to see Xenoverse being connected with the Dragon Ball series/movies... That leads to something incredible in the future, and we might even see Mira and Towa.

Re: Official Unofficial Xenoverse In-Universe Topic SPOILERS
I think my problem with the notion of elements of Xenoverse being re-incorporated back into the main continuity is that, even whilst throwing in a lot of new elements, just like Dragonball Heroes and Dragonball Online, of which Xenoverse's plot was cannibalised from, it's very meta and, as opposed to covering new ground, simply rehashes and (quite literally) revisits old events in a new context.
I'd much rather the main continuity go in new, uncharted directions. For video games though? This is great. Of course, I'd still prefer an entirely originall plot, but after years of literally repackaging the same thing with the odd twist and 'what if' quest here and there, Xenoverse really is a breath of fresh air.
I think if any animated feature spawned from Xenoverse, an OVA side story would be nice... Only hopefully with a little more budget that the awfully cheap animated segments incorporated into the game.

Re: Official Unofficial Xenoverse In-Universe Topic SPOILERS
The only way I wouldn't mind XV's story being incorporated into Toriyama's canon is if there's an OVA that fixes the problems the game has, specifically when it comes to the power of the characters.
Re: Official Unofficial Xenoverse In-Universe Topic SPOILERS
From the beginning, it may be so. But whoever is coming up with the writing, this one can improve it and use his/her own creativity to not look exactly what Online and Xenoverse brought. We don't even know what happens in Online since it was shut down. I can see the 12 Universes and Time Travel plot working together, they are indeed, time and space for all that matter. xD Not to mention the antagonists, Mira and Towa are the best villains for me, I love them so much, even their designs are incredible. Maybe someone acting like Demigra would serve as the major villain, but that I don't think too much about it.
With the addition of Time Kaioshin, this merely brought a new vast world for Kaios and Kaioshins, beyond Makaio and Makaioshin, who knows if there are more Gods, kind of the same way Greek mythology, there are Gods for everything. I would be in ecstasy.

No, Xenoverse has Bardock vs Freeza from the TV Special, this is not ignored as it is in the manga, Chapter 307.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Xenoverse has the Bardock TV Special, Movies 8 & 10, and GT in its continuity though, which Toriyama's works ignore.
All the rest he can ignore, I even support him for doing it with those crappy movies and GT.

It takes place in Age 737, which is when the TV Special & Xenoverse take place, while in DB-, the fight takes place in Age 739.Dyno wrote:No, Xenoverse has Bardock vs Freeza from the TV Special, this is not ignored as it is in the manga, Chapter 307.

Re: Official Unofficial Xenoverse In-Universe Topic SPOILERS
Then that specifically information is wrong, not the content itself. Plus... Aside from here, there is not a single place stating Dragon Ball Minus takes place in 739. Again, I am not doubting you nor even questioning if this information is valid, but...

I find it funny how they give Demigra 75 million years to build up his power, so he could literally be as strong as they want to portray him. Then compare that to 4 month's Freeza.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

So, the Toki Toki Realm could have A Serpent Road too, but not THE Serpent Road.Doctor. wrote:Also, is that supposed to be Snake Way above Toki Toki city? I'm still confused how Towa is Dabra's sister.... What the..
Did Toriyama really come up with that? Was that a thing in DBO?
Re: Official Unofficial Xenoverse In-Universe Topic SPOILERS
I think it's possible, can't think of anything that "blocks" Towa from being Dabura's sister. And as far as I know, no. And no as well, this relationship between them both is excepcionally from Xenoverse. As far as I know, as well.Jackal puFF wrote:I'm still confused how Towa is Dabra's sister.... Is it shown how Goku stopped Demigra's blast before he followed the time patroller and Demigra into the final battle?
I'm still thinking it's related to how Goku stopped Beerus' blast in BoG and that he unknowingly teleported it to another universe.
