Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

Okay guys, we know some serious stuff is going to go down with Freeza, and Goku and Vegeta and the gang, but are there any thoughts on what a potential B-plot might be? Maybe something involving Jaco? Or perhaps Trunks and Goten could actually play a small part in the movie away from the battlefield with other minor characters?

I think Jaco is responding to the threat of a large spaceship of Freeza's army is invading Earth and he will simply assist the gang in the general army attack. I think Goten and Trunks are not going to be in this movie at all. I don't think they would reveal golden freeza and not reveal either Goten or Trunks yet. The reason they are missing will probably be an off-screen thing... just a passing comment by one of the characters explaining where they are. (or no explanation at all to really make everyone here upset)

Goku not going SSj does make sense since it can explain why he didn't go SSj against Uub at the end of DBZ. Once Goku has godly ki, he is much stronger in his base form now.

Considering scanlations are outright banned on this forum, I'd think you would value your account more than being able to read lines of dialogue from a story we should all know at this point. In this case, the dialogue isn't even relevant to the discussion at hand.

Yeah, scanslations are a big no-no here. If you want manga images in English, I'd recommend using images from the Viz manga. Besides being an official product, the translations in Viz are also typically better than what you get with those terrible old DB scanslations.

You read it right the first time around: it's "A Saiyan who has surpassed God". The phrasing is similar to what's used in the main series to refer to the various higher forms of Super Saiyan, with all the talk of "a Super Saiyan who has surpassed Super Saiyan" (超サイヤ人を超えた超サイヤ人).

I really hope they announce something, because I'd really like to see the movie in theaters here without having to wait so very long. I wonder if other countries will be lucky enough to get it in 3D too, I doubt it.

I think we'll have to wait till They release Kai and ROF cause they probably don't want to saturate the market.

In terms of the original Dragon Ball we might get the boxes or a blu-ray release next year to celebrate it's 30th anniversary and hopefully a Kai version as well.

I like SSJ3, but I understand why Tory ditched that, so that Bejita can keep up with Goku. If he left SSJ3 as the strongest transformation, Bejita is forced to transform to an SSJ3, to keep up.Anyway, I think Bejita can be a hero of the Movie without him necessarily defeating Freeza

I don't know if this relates to this movie or not, but would go hand in hand with the 'no SSJ Goku' claims. In DB Heroes, Goku receives a transformation in his Fukkatsu no F costume that is described as 'ascended god' - his appearance stays exactly the same, however, but it also ties in with the absorbed god powers.

It's from the current issue of Cinecom Walker, with character profiles and a plot overview. Sorbet and Tagoma's voices are listed, although I don't think they've been officially announced anywhere else yet (we only know because of unlinked assets tucked away on the official movie site).

Last month's issue had only a very short blurb about the movie. Back in 2013, Battle of Gods had a cover feature that revealed Buu's role in the plot and hinted at Vegeta's song-and-dance routine, but I don't expect anything more than the current single-page overview this time around.

I'm betting we might finally hear something about the Boo arc of Kai, but while they might touch on this movie (as in acknowledging it's existence), I dunno that we'll actually hear anything about it's licensing just yet.

Even though it's just a game though, I'd be interested to hear if they touch on Xenoverse at all, as that had to be an interesting recording situation.

I'm really hoping that Funi announces a FnF theatrical release slated for this year. Toei and Funi must realize the resurgent popularity DBZ is currently experiencing in the US thanks to Kai, Battle of Gods, and now Xenoverse, and it's not going to do either of them any favors to just sit on FnF for a year again. They really do need to strike while the iron is hot.
