Yeah, I know... But like I said Ayres force to be that way... Nakao and Linda Young are naturally polite as they play the role as Freeza and that's what make they both good indeed
Half the time, with Linda Young's Freeza, you couldn't tell if he was trying to kill Goku or hit on him. He had stupid one-liners like "pop goes the weasel," and he sounded like someone's chain-smoking grandmother.
What?, Pop goes the weasel was a great one liner. Such a dickish thing to say after you've made someone's best friend explode.

dbzfan7 wrote: But Linda is factually not accurate. Sabat when it comes to Recoome or Jeice is factually off. You can like a voice all you want, doesn't mean it's factually right for the character. I like Kaio's voice, even though many here are right that it's very unfitting for him. I'm ok with that.

In my point of view she is pretty accurate, I like the way how she play Freeza, her voice and everything for me is the perfect fit!

dbzfan7 wrote:I don't believe you should take that advice yourself. Besides liking something that people would label as bad or inaccurate isn't wrong. I can like bad video games all I want, all that matters is if I enjoy them or not. They can factually be poorly programmed and down right terrible.
I don't get your point but I did not like the way "The Monkey King" said about my posts. People can say that Ayres is perfect for Freeza as I think the opposite (referencing to Linda Young) but I respect their opinions even though I don't agree at all.

Well, I think she sounds like the way it should be, I mean... Freeza always had an effeminate appearance, I don't see the problem with he being dubbed by a lady. Besides I find her voice playing Freeza very threatening.

I'm all for Ayres returning for the newest film, I remember as a kid never knowing if Freeza was actually a male or female and I don't want others having to go through that same struggle.
Another reason why I don't like Linda's take. She's a fine woman and actress in the right parts, but Freeza isn't the right part for her. What you said is literally my childhood, and recently started happening again in conversations. I shouldn't have a hard time saying he's a guy, but I slip into girl every so often cause of Linda's take.

Well sorry but this is a case where opinion can be wrong. It's like arguing the sky is light green. In this case you can like her voice more, but she is factually not accurate to Freeza as a character. Her portrayal is horrendous. That's mainly the script's fault, but even with a good script, she'd still not sound right.

Your first post comes off at least to me, as saying Ajay's view was wrong.
Are you serious? Of course not! Linda Young is so much better than Ayres for god's sake, her Freeza is even good as Nakao for sure!
That's not how you address an opinion. You questioned his opinion, then said he's wrong, then you stated your opinion.

Ride em Cowboy is polite!? . Young's Freeza both acting and script is the furthest from polite you can get.
Oh God, I had blocked that one

I have no problem with a woman playing Freeza. Just the woman in question.

And I have nothing against Ms. Young. She's just doesn't play Freeza. She plays a thing that dresses up as Freeza and hits on Goku while making bad jokes.

Out of curiosity, when did "it's my opinion" become a catch-all defense for being factually wrong?

Well, so that's how you see the sky, because for me it's blue, blue just like Linda Young voice acting as Freeza is better than Ayres, but enough of that... You'll never change your opinion neither I, so I think we should quit this.

Yep. But that was just a disagreement I didn't say something like "Wow, that something pretty awful to say dude, you should be ashamed of yourself" I just was impressed by he saying that Linda Young was bad as Freeza.

Can we please wait until the movie is out before bashing on Freeza's power-up? If by the time it comes, there's no other explanation besides the 4 month thing, then I'll happily join you guys.
When i first found out about Frieza's huge power up in only 4 months i was a bit annoyed, and then i remembered that this is Dragonball. We have seen massive power ups in a short amount of time plenty of times.

Goku throughout Dragonball got quick power ups from not doing really all that much really.

Tien, Yamcha, Krillin and Chiaotzu all got stronger than Raditz just by training with Kami.

There is also Goten who became a Super Saiyan without even knowing how to fly, how to control his Ki or experience any of the tough training all the other characters have gone through.

And one of the most notible power boost's of them all is Goku going from weaker than Raditz to turning into a Super Saiyan and becoming a lot more powerful than Frieza in around the same amount of time it is going to take Frieza to get his power boost.

So yeah, i don't really think it's all that big a deal and i am very much looking forward to this new movie, even if i am not the greatest fan of this new animation. :D

That is not how you address an opinion. Not at all. Your post clearly came off as telling someone they were wrong. That's why there was an argument in the first place. You can't admit to something factually wrong. Liking Linda Young is not factually wrong. Saying her performance is accurate to Freeza's character, is factually wrong. Saying her performance is accurate to the character is like saying "Special Recoome" and "Aussie Jeice" are accurate to their characters. I like Spider-Man 3 and the PS2 version of that game. Most hate that movie's guts and call the game a massive disappointment. They are right. I'm just satisfied with them enough, despite how I can factually agree how bad they are.

Special Recoome and Aussie Jeice are examples of how inaccurate characters can be better than what they're intended to actually be like. lol.

P.S. I like Spider-Man 3 too. I don't think it's bad, tbh. Villain clutter aside, it was intentionally campy in many parts. People despised that. I loved it. =P

The only way we'll get Broly is whenever Toriyama is done writing and Toie's staff takes over.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

That's still different than saying how factually accurate they are.

You can admit that they are factually accurate, but say that they're still better.

But that's a debate over what kind of performance is "better."

Correct. You can like a less accurate portrayal. What's important at least to some is entertainment. Whoever is more entertaining tends to be the preferred. Personally accuracy matters to me when it comes to adaptations.

No, it's a Fukkatsu no F tie-in event that'll run at J World from March 21st to May 10th. There'll be a thing where you can look for the dragon balls (to save Earth from colliding with a swarm of meteorites), guys dressed as Mister Satan and Boo perform a short skit, there's FnF-themed food (a Freeza-style purple-and-white blueberry cake, etc), a rock-paper-scissors tournament with Freeza as special guess...you can even get your photo taken with Freeza. Doesn't look like there's anything about actually showing the movie at the park though.

Oh, and as part of the movie-themed foods, it mentions that a strawberry sundae will feature in the film, apparently as Beerus' latest snack.
Keeping with the "character first, then voice artist" theme, it's Takeshi Kusao. He mentions the prospect of even more movies.

I'm working on it and the curry update from yesterday now. Let's see if I can get these knocked out in half an hour.
