Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.
Though they are the newest versions of the original ones, this is what I expected to Freeza's new form. HIS FUCKING FOURTH FORM WITH JUST SOME DETAILS ON IT!
LEARN DRAGON BALL, JUST LEARN ALREADY! Do not just change damn colors.

I wouldn't put it anywhere. It doesn't have anything to do with Dragon Ball other than the comparison you're trying to make. But if you insist on posting it, don't you think it'd go in the thread to the movie where this form appears? The thread were most of the discussion of the form has been taking place?

Damn these actually look awesome. Like the God stuff they are simple, but unlike them deviate enough to be something new. These look cool.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
This has absolutely nothing to do with Dragon Ball.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words? Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up! Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes! Cold World (Fanfic) "It ain't never too late to stop bein' a bitch." - Chad Lamont Butler
This really has nothing to do with Dragon Ball at all minus that you apparently decided you needed a good whine about Freeza and decided this was the way to do it.
Change the title to "How would you have liked them to handle Frieza's transformation?"
This should be the first post: "Are you happy/satisfied with the simplistic approach Toriyama chose for him, or would you have liked something more extreme, akin to Cooler? What are you genuine thoughts now that you have seen many images and videos of Golden Frieza?"
Finally, you can discuss those Yu-Gi-Oh! evolutions and compare them with Golden Frieza's design and your expectations.
There, now we have an actual DBZ topic and you can hate on Golden Frieza! Double whammy! : D
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

I thought they just looked like they originally did, I honestly can't tell the difference.

Good save! I think what we're getting is actually what I was expecting, Freeza turning Super Sai... Super Freeza. Maybe the design looks a bit off, I think that could have been fixed though. People were expecting something like Koola or Cell, something edgier and more American looking.
If this was the only change then I think people would have been madder.

Actually, I really like that design. It might be the darker shade of gold rather than the bright yellow of the actual one. And his blue eyes are a nice touch. If I'm not mistaken, aren't they the same color that SSJ eyes are? If so, that is an awesome way to hearken back to that form, subtle and clever.

Yes, it has. This is the same as those drawings people were posting the movies' topic. Only that these drawings come from another anime, not from my own hands. And this topic can also serve for those who want to post their drawings about Freeza's alternative fourth form.
And no. If I put there, this probably would consume the topic and it only would lead to "off-topic".

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.
