Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.

Super Perfect Cell with some difficulty. They made it a point that SSJ2 Goku and Majin Vegeta were in the same tier as SSJ2 Kid Gohan, so that would mean Pre Majin Vegeta got a tiny boost if he's already in that tier. Vegeta said the gap between him and Goku hadn't changed even after all his training for 7 years. So SSJ2 Kid Gohan>SPC>SSJ2 Pre Majin Vegeta.
