Sexy Fan Art Thread (No porn!)
Re: Sexy Fan Art Thread (No porn!)
It's nothing worth reporting and the thread is obviously allowed, I just find it odd how a couple people having a little argument could be deemed as embarrassing and yet people posting pictures of cartoon characters showing their panties and people saying how sexy they are isn't deemed that way.
If I had to show an outside viewer either a couple people throwing a few minor insults at one another or a picture of Videl bending over exposing her camel toe then I'd show the former.

....Good for you? I'd guess the easy solution would be for you to just ignore this thread, but I suppose that's out of the question.Bullza wrote:It's nothing worth reporting and the thread is obviously allowed, I just find it odd how a couple people having a little argument could be deemed as embarrassing and yet people posting pictures of cartoon characters showing their panties and people saying how sexy they are isn't deemed that way.

Now, to get this thread back on topic...

People being stupid and unfriendly is far more embarrassing for a forum than a little sexual context, or at least it should. There's nothing really wrong with people enjoying a little sexual content (except for a prude, but prudes are far more of a problem for everyone than a little sexual content). But there's clearly something very wrong with people being stupid and unfriendly.Bullza wrote:I find it odd that VegettoEX is always going on about being embarrassed of people's actions and how outside viewers would see them but then there's this thread where people are posting sexy pictures of and lusting over cartoon characters which you'd think would be 10x more embarrassing.

Re: Sexy Fan Art Thread (No porn!)
I don't speak for Mike, but if you want my personal view, there's nothing inherently wrong with acknowledging sexy artwork. Some of the responses get a little ridiculous and immature, but I haven't noticed anything worth taking action over. Overall it's just about fun, and not much different from threads about silly pictures. And I don't find fun anywhere near as embarrassing as heated arguments where people lose their temper and start calling each other names.Bullza wrote:It's nothing worth reporting and the thread is obviously allowed, I just find it odd how a couple people having a little argument could be deemed as embarrassing and yet people posting pictures of cartoon characters showing their panties and people saying how sexy they are isn't deemed that way.

I guess I will make a general suggestion to tone down the hormones in some of your replies. Have fun, but not too much fun.
EDIT: Oh, I just noticed rereboy already said something similar. So yeah.

Go back to around page 40 or so and you'll see this was more or less addressed (albeit much more hilariously).

It certainly isn't when it happens on every single forum out there and in the real world far more than it happens here.People being stupid and unfriendly is far more embarrassing for a forum than a little sexual context, or at least it should.
Making a sexy picture out of a cartoon character and then someone commenting on how she probably gives a mean happy ending and other similar comments just makes the site look like its full of the stereotypical obese geeks that live in their parents basement and watch hentai.
I just find it contradictory that's all.
Re: Sexy Fan Art Thread (No porn!)
And, in most of the world, entertainment and other aspects of society glorify mortal violence and demonize sexual content, even though mortal violence is contrary to life in society and to life itself (except in very specific circumstances) and sex is a natural and essential part of life of every being on the planet that creates life instead of ending it.Bullza wrote:

That's what doesn't make much sense.
This forum actually caring more about the users behaving properly than censuring light sexual content is something that, for once, makes sense.
Think rationally about it, with no preconceptions, and you will reach the same conclusion. Don't follow the prudes of the world, they are already doing enough damage as it is...
Re: Sexy Fan Art Thread (No porn!)
It's not a contradiction at all. Nobody is getting hurt in this thread. Folks arguing and resorting to tactics to hurt the feelings of others in a discussion is embarrassing.Bullza wrote:It certainly isn't when it happens on every single forum out there and in the real world far more than it happens here.People being stupid and unfriendly is far more embarrassing for a forum than a little sexual context, or at least it should.

Re: Sexy Fan Art Thread (No porn!)
Do you actually take every comment you see here seriously? I mean, if people are going out of their way to oversexualize a cartoon character, whatever comments that follow shouldn't be an issue. As usual, Bullza is trying his best to make it seem like we have issues. Go to sleep Bullza.Bullza wrote:Making a sexy picture out of a cartoon character and then someone commenting on how she probably gives a mean happy ending and other similar comments just makes the site look like its full of the stereotypical obese geeks that live in their parents basement and watch hentai.

Sidenote: I work out and have a FWB. And I can still say what I want about cartoon Chi-chi and sleep well at night.
Re: Sexy Fan Art Thread (No porn!)
I would offer it is odd to have someone come to a message board about a comic and cartoon franchise and then try and play bastion of the society. After all, society considers folks our age to be wrong to like cartoons and comics, let alone feel so passionate about them we would discuss them on the internet. By the decrees of society and traditional adulthood we are already losers and misfits. Why should the appreciation of art with a sexual and erotic nature be any different? We are no more scum in the eyes of traditionalism then we were when we were merely fans of a cartoon.

But everyone is being polite and no one is actually posting explicit material. It's all suggestive material.
Anyways, more Bulma!

Well I don't think anyone is lusting over them or masturbating to these pictures. It's to appreciate the art I guess like with ancient nude paintings or sculptures. I enjoy looking at sexy artwork of male and female Dragonball characters. It's take a lot of talent to draw all the details and proportions right for the muscle so I don't think you only have to be a female to appreciate that art. To balance out all the sexy girl art here's some men!Bullza wrote:I find it odd that VegettoEX is always going on about being embarrassed of people's actions and how outside viewers would see them but then there's this thread where people are posting sexy pictures of and lusting over cartoon characters which you'd think would be 10x more embarrassing.

Funny thing is, Toriyama has stated that he loved to draw naughty pictures of women and it comes through in his art in dragonball, especially in his earlier works.Bullza wrote:It certainly isn't when it happens on every single forum out there and in the real world far more than it happens here.People being stupid and unfriendly is far more embarrassing for a forum than a little sexual context, or at least it should.

I always liked Maron. She's like Bulma but actually wants to have fun and not be a bitch.

Well that is a lot of muscle! The Dragonball women are naturally sexy but the men have to keep training to maintain their physique. They work harder but never get the appreciation they deserve!Rocketman wrote:Well, you'd be wrong about that. *whistles*Skar wrote:Well I don't think anyone is lusting over them or masturbating to these pictures.

...And Kuririn felt Maron was too good for him..... yeah.
Chi-Chi and Videl work for their bodies too. Chi-Chi probably lifted couches or some shit to tone her ass out when she was under Gyumao's teachings.... in fact, even as a kid she already had one.Skar wrote:Well that is a lot of muscle! I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Regardless of how good Maron might look, don't forget that she was also running around on him, and #18 is hotter...so Kuririn still wins in the end.
