Not surprising (Yamamoto involved) and kind of welcome.
Where are you getting this information?
The French forum's big boss - who speaks Japanese - has translated the following note on the main page's news (which must be included either on the V-Jump or the main website, but I personally saw it on the Famitsu website and others that I don't know such as "4gamer").

「ドラゴンボールZ 超武闘伝2」のBGMは差し替えを行っております。予めご了承ください。

which translates to: "The original BGM tracks for Dragon Ball Z Super Butoden 2 have been replaced. Please take this into consideration."

I'm glad you guys are taking the filter discussion to another thread, but mocking other people is not cool, even for comedy.

Strange how they wouldn't change the music for the previous 3DS title but they would for this. More interested to hear what they will end up replacing the music with instead of information about the new game :P

No but that bass line just going from one ear to another just feels so good. Seriously Butouden 2's soundtrack is pretty GOAT, kinda curious to see what's it being replaced by.

Anyways, no word or hints about this game reaching the US shores right? damn I'm hoping for it, this is looking like the best 2D DBZ game we have had in years.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

A 3DS system theme was released earlier today in Japan:

It costs 200 yen.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

I think they're not going to think about it too much as it is just a bonus game that they probably wish they wouldn't have to change to begin with.
So they will certainly not create all new SNES-style music for it.

My guess is that they will just slap music from the main game onto the bonus game. Basically Dragon Ball music meant for 3DS and ready to use onto a port meant for 3DS.

You have to hope that some music pieces can fit the circumstances though, as Super Butoden 2 contained story-specific tracks, with one melancholic track and two "tense" tracks during narration.
Although, it will be interesting to see what they will choose since pretty much all characters have their own theme music, so the replacement tracks have to be chosen as "what fits the identity of this character" (Son Gohan's theme, Piccolo's theme, Vegeta's theme, Cell's theme, etc...).

Also...is this emulation or a port? that would probably tell us right their what they will do.

It would be interesting to see a new proper SNES track in there, whether it's better or worse than the original.

Yamamoto, why must you plagiarize? That Cell theme for SB2 sounds so good, but realizing it was copied makes me sad ;_;

I am still surprised that gamers are OK wit this.
It's all this, I hate DLC and such, only to buy it later.

Well, but Japanese developers are really rulers of rudiculousness...
FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel
PS5: Dynamixx88
Trust me, I'm millenial and a designer.

So, I'm tempted to get this game. 2 problems, I haven't looked up how to do the region free exploit and I kinda wanna wait to see if we get any updates on it working on the New 3DS XL. The second one, is that I don't want to get it, and then hear that it's coming out in America.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

It won't BNG has a hatred for Nintendo(no thanks to Sony and Microsoft's Moneyhatting deals) so don't expect this game to release outside of Japan at all.
Dragon Ball Heroes God Mission = Best sets of missions so far
