What is the lamest thing to come out of modern DBZ?

I also prefer the Broli trilogy over BoG. Since someone mentioned Bardock, I'd probably say I find him more oversaturated than Broli in recent times.

Actually it's always been like that. Only Broly get called out on it. Bardock and Broly are usually"hidden" characters or made out as big deals. Only difference is before EOB Bardock didnt have SSJ.

I actually like Bio-Broly. Very entertaining. We got to see Goten and Trunks as stand alone characters and not 100% goofy kids. We saw Goten not being potrayed as Trunk's sidekick but his equal. Cool interaction with Krillin and 18. The plot while cheap is mostly disliked because "Broly" is in the title. It was a very awesome movie Imo. Battle of Gods was not. Pretty much same old shit. Just cranked up times 10. How many ancient beings have been sealed away or been asleep in Dragonball? Beerus make 3...maybe 4. Wow so original.

But...Broly became a gross swamp thing imitation...and loses to water, of all things. I'm pretty much neutral to Broly, and I can say that movie is just unfair. I suppose there is enough there to try and like it, but imo, not enough to say it's better than BoG. Any other movie, sure. But not Bio Broly.

Going back on topic, I suppose SSJGod design is my only complaint in the last few years. It's...so not cool.

I actually enjoyed Bio-Broly too. I liked it more than the 2nd Broly movie. That said, Beerus wasn't just some ancient being sealed away; he's the Galactus of DBZ. A character who brings balance in the universe through destruction. Despite that, he's not cynical or diabolical about it; it's simply his job, and he actually hates being awoken from his naps. What makes him dangerous is how pugnacious he is--irritate him and your planet is gone. Very unique character.

I feel like Bio-Broly get's hate because a monster that flexed all the major Z warriors in the first movie, was done in by two whack ass kids and a Krillin. Can't take it seriously at all, unless it wasn't meant to be.

I like watching Broly in action. He's entertaining. That's about it.

I don't see how any of you can compare any of the Broly movies to BOG, they're too different. I like those movies for different reasons. BOG had a lot of interesting elements going on, and Broly (his first two films) was good ole DBZ action.

The water weakness was awesome Imo. Very different than most if not all defeats in DB. AND so what if he became a swamp monster. Goku became a skinny red haired delinquent. I didn't try to like it. It grabbed my attention.

Broly first two movies had more comedy than Battle of Gods. Also they were FUNNIER than BoG.

You say that, but you never explain what's wrong with Beerus.

The only similarities between Buu and Beerus are that they are both strong ancient beings who occasionally sleep. The only similarity between Beerus and Broly is that they are strong and tall.

I might as well say Goten sucks because he is like a fusion of Pilaf and Garlic Junior, because he is short and adds nothing to the plot.

I like Bio-Broli because we get to see non-Goku/Vegeta characters get spotlight, the B-movie Sci-Fi feel to it, and the humor for it (I'm a sucker for Mr. Satan antics).

But he's nothing like Buu or Broly. He doesn't destroy for the sake of destroying. He'll blow up your planet if you get him mad, but while he's awake, that's just his job. O_o

Personality-wise, there's not a single "villain" like him in the series.

I don't really like BoG either. But I think Beerus and Whis are great additions to the roster.
