Why the other Kais's haven't gotten their bodies back?
We have seen at least twice.
King Kai died and simply got a halo... And nothing really changed.
Old Kai died and simply got an halo... He still is there
Why the other Supreme Kais, who weren't absorbed by Buu, haven't simply gotten their bodies back as the other 2?

Because Buu presumably destroyed both their living bodies and dead bodies.

It wasn't said, but it makes sense. Old Kai got right back up after he died.Kishido wrote:And this wa said? And how has Buu done it?Marco Polo wrote:Because Buu presumably destroyed both their living bodies and dead bodies.
So, it should happen for North Supreme Kai and West Supreme Kai too. Buu probably killed them, then they got back up and he killed them again.

Yeah, I imagine that would be the case. Majin Boo was a specialist in overkill.Dbzfan94 wrote:It wasn't said, but it makes sense. When demons kill someone, their souls stay in limbo and can't go to the AfterLife.

Despite being a "Demon Person" via his Majin title/species/whatever, Buu (in any form) is never stated to be a "demon" in the same sense as Piccolo Daimao.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:When demons kill someone, their souls stay in limbo and can't go to the AfterLife.

even in manga, dabura wasn't in limbo,so he isn't that kind of demon.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:I know, Boo isn't a Mazoku, but he is still a demon.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Despite being a "Demon Person" via his Majin title/species/whatever, Buu (in any form) is never stated to be a "demon" in the same sense as Piccolo Daimao.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:When demons kill someone, their souls stay in limbo and can't go to the AfterLife.

In Dragon Ball, just being a "demon" doesn't seem to put you in that limbo death class. You have to be in that mazoku class, however that works. No one worries about characters being in limbo from Dabra or Buu. They just don't. Goku even thinks Buu killed Gohan and upon returning to the afterlife asks Enma Daio where his son is. His first thought when the judge tells him Gohan hasn't been through there isn't "Oh yeah, Buu is a demon and Gohan is in limbo", it's that Gohan must be alive. Same for Dabra. He wasn't in limbo either.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:I know, Boo isn't a Mazoku, but he is still a demon.

It's also worth noting that we don't know for sure that they didn't get their bodies. It's possible they chose to go to Heaven, as is their right. It's only as of the final battle against Kid Buu that we learn he can leave the living realm, so there'd be no need for dead Kaioshin to re-enter the fray.

That seems to make sense the most, Buu can travel to otherworld etc and Goku made it clear to vegeta there were to be no comebacks where he to lose his life whilst in halo status.Dbzfan94 wrote:It wasn't said, but it makes sense. But what happens once the supreme kais were killed by Buu (and their soul versions presumably destroyed also) were they gone for good, or possible their in reincarnation process, (isn't there a tree that creates new kais every 1000 years or so?)

I would assume they're gone for good, because Buu killed the Kai's (millions?) of years prior to the Buu Saga, and Supreme Kai & Kibito, and then later Old Kai are the only ones there

Re: Why the other Kais's haven't gotten their bodies back?
It was a Plothole. The Demon Boo is not less demon than Great Demon King Piccolo. Just as nothing was mentioned again about Piccolo's victims like Chiaotzu and others which came before the demon void explanation. It is a plothole.

And then after Kid Buu destroyed the Earth, Tenshinhan, Goten, Trunks, and Gohan are nowhere to be found. And it was only before that, did Supreme Kai explain how Buu came around and murdered his predecessors. So there was a flip flop with deciding what kind of monster Buu was, that is, if Toriyama decided then and there that Buu is a 'mazoku' instead of a regular demon.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:In Dragon Ball, just being a "demon" doesn't seem to put you in that limbo death class. Re: Why the other Kais's haven't gotten their bodies back?
We only saw Fat & Evil Boo's victims going to the AfterLife, but we never saw victims of Pure Boo. Piccolo lost the ability to trap his victims in limbo when he started to change to a better person according to Kami, so it seems that you have to be a pure evil demon in order to trap someone in limbo, and Fat/Evil Boo did have a good part in them.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:In Dragon Ball, just being a "demon" doesn't seem to put you in that limbo death class. Re: Why the other Kais's haven't gotten their bodies back?
Maybe Elder Kaioshin gained this privilege because of the witch, and pure Kaioshin don't really have it. After all, they're "above" the afterlife itself, and were probably never expected to ever die anyway, until Majin Buu.
