Not really. Ten schooled a Saibaman to the point where Vegeta kills it, and coulda done great damage to Nappa with his KiKoHo if Nappa didn't see it coming at the last second. All Chaozu did was senselessly sacrifice himself.

All this talk of what happened when is just a distraction. Story wise and IRL it's been decades, time to move on. Chaozu had done some training with King Kai, and whether he's at a lower level than Tenshinhan, all they do is train, fact. Other side of the scale Master Roshi has been doing secret training those past few decades, has to be a fact, because previews show him fighting. If Master Roshi could take out forces, who we can assume is less than 10,000 pl, Chaozu could do the same.

The point is Muten Roshi is wise and knows his limits. Chaozu is a fool that would try to bite off more than he can chew.

I'm not going to speculate if Chaozu is going to be reckless again, (which he probably won't since he's likely learned since Nappa, and it's been years so he would have to have matured). I'm here to gripe that surely Master Roshi and Chaozu can both take on Freeza's minions, and it's a bummer that Chaozu won't be able to.
